I was just watching the UFC and realised that there is too much talent in this sport that rightfully should have gone into boxing. imagine these guys were boxers GSP, Hughes, Franklin, Silva, Liddle etc. how much more entertaining would boxing have been then.

You jus have to watch one of them train to realise how hungry they too are, for wanting to be the best.

they are very good strikers, but then again skill comes when you have the will to learn and heart to fight, which these guys deffinately have.

The only guys that I would have liked to have seen in boxing are Anderson Silva and GSP, cause they are the only ones with talent. The rest of them are semi-full time bums fighting bigger part-time bums.

No thanks these guys probably tried boxing and couldn't make it with those wide arm punches they throw.

I disagree with all listed except for Anderson Silva. If you have ever seen him fight, he is a pin point striker with excellent power. He does not throw arm punches like many supposed great boxers of today do (e.g. Joe C. Wales). He actually challenged RJJ to a boxing match and RJJ is considering it. He is an athletic 6'2" guy who fights at 185. He could make 175 no problem. Before thinking this is a joke and RJJ (my favorite all time fighter) would annihilate him, watch some of his fights such as Silva vs. Leben, Silva vs. Franklin I and II.

Hughes is a born wrestler. He adapted some pretty competent striking out of necessity in MMA, but to say he ought to have been a boxer...? :blood

Boxing is a very limited form of fighting with a rigid rule set. It allows Hopkins to do what he did against JC. It would have been much better if JC could have thrown a knee in the clinch. Bunnyhop would think twice about clinching.:deal

Current Hopkins vs. current Couture in a special dirty boxing (not MMA rules) match.

    GO!

Did you see AA vs Ayala? AA actually threw a knee because Ayala kept coming in low. No fan of AA but I though Ayalya deserved it.
