    Aw.

I don't want to see Chisora crushed again so soon after the first big win of like his entire career.

I'd favour Ortiz. He hits a hell of a lot harder than Takam and he'd counter Chisora on the way in with some crunching shots. I doubt Chisora can rope a dope his way to a win this time.

But I wouldn't right Chisora off, if he can some how make it beyond the 6th round he could easily KO a fading Ortiz. Remember Chisora isn't easy to stop. Ortiz hits hard and all but he doesn't put a lot of heat on guys even if he hurts Chisora repeatedly he might not be able to mount the kind of pressure and volume needed to stop him and if he finds himself gassing vs Chisora he could very well be the one getting KO'ed.

But this fight won't happen for the same reason why nobody wants to fight Ortiz, money. Chisora has always fought for money, he wants to get paid and Ortiz brings peanuts to the table, a rematch with Whyte or a fight with someone like Parker would be far more lucrative.

Chisora is a good matchup for Ortiz as Chisora isn't moving a lot and he isn't moving quick either. Chisora was eating many, many shots vs Takam but Takam hasn't the big one punch power imo, he stops opponents with his high activity and work rate. I can see Ortiz stopping Chisora but Chisora is a tough nut, who knows.

But i doubt this will happen. Ortiz is a high risk and low output fight for Chisora as Ortiz has absolutely NO profile in the UK and Chisora wants the big paydays (Whyte II). Even a fight vs Joyce would make more sense as the UK fans are exicted for this. Ortiz would probably send Chisora into retirement.

Actually think Chisora has a good chance of putting Ortiz to the sword. Chisora has a very good chin and is very hard to KO. No doubt he would pressure Ortiz all night and take him into deep water, regardless of losing most rounds to Ortiz, i doubt Ortiz could last the 12 at the pace Chisora would set, would be an interesting fight. Doubt it happens though, Chisora is a mercenary all the way, and Ortiz doesnt bring nowhere near as much as Whyte 2, Wilder, Parker, Bellew, wouldnt surprise me if he gets a paycheck to fight Miller in the UK in December/January.

Brutal fight for Chisora. KO in mid round for Ortiz.

Totally agree with this, I think Chisora's style is made for Ortiz who eats guys who come forward up for breakfast. The guys Ortiz looks dreadful against are ones with movement, so someone like Parker or AJ would imo run rings around him and likely stop him late.

If Chisora beats Ortiz in the Battle of the Fogeys, Wilder's resume takes a dive back into bumland

    That said. Ortiz wins.

Technical boxing skills wise, hes probably the best in the division. People simply like to ignore the fact that hes very old for a fighter. Most fighters between the age of 37-42 decline very rapidly, some earlier, the odd Foreman or B-Hop are rare exceptions, not the rule, no one can stay young forever. Ortiz's legs, agility, mobility and gas tank, are failing him. Hes 1-3 fights away from being turned into a gatekeeper depending on who he fights, just have to wait and see who is going to be the one to put him to the sword. A tough as nails slugger like Chisora has a good shot, he will take the old man 12 rounds and put a hell of a lot more shots and pressure on him than Wilder did.

I'd tune in. Would be entertaining I am sure, I give 60:40 odds to an old Ortiz here but we saw what Chisora can do if he lands.

Agreed, Ortiz at this stage of his career will have to be even more carefully managed than he was during his prime. He's at the age where he could very quickly look vulnerable and lose against the wrong type of opponent. Chisora suits him style wise but only if he can stop him before he gasses. If Chisora can avoid being stopped early and work the body like he often does we could see Ortiz fall apart when his gas tank hits empty. It's a big if but Chisora has shown throughout his career he shouldn't be over looked and always comes to fight even when out of shape.

Ortiz should be matched against guys with little movement who he can definitely stop. Throwing him in with movers or durable guys that might take him late could be a recipe for disaster.

Agreed, I was very impressed with Whyte's performance against Parker, he improves every fight. I bet there are a few guys licking their chops at possibly taking his scalp.

I think it's a competitive fight myself. Whyte has proven of late he's a better fighter than the one that was KO'ed by AJ, he's improved in a number of ways since then.

I could see Whyte beating Ortiz but then I could also see Ortiz KOing Whyte. Whyte doesn't like pressure and being pushed back and Ortiz isn't the type to pressure guys he'd sit back and allow Whyte to out work him. The danger for Whyte is if he gets countered throwing one of his sloppy shots. But even then Whyte has shown heart and is a dangerous counter puncher himself.

I favour Ortiz slightly. Whyte's big punch is the left hook, while he needs the big right hand to hurt Ortiz, which Ortiz is vulnerable too.

Joshua though handles Ortiz with surprising ease. AJ has the right hand counter, the size and reach to get to Ortiz. Ortiz himself lacks the movement to avoid AJ's big weapons and lacks the pressure and pace to make Joshua gas, in fact Ortiz would gas first if he pushed the pace.
