That Last sentence,again it's classic American Arrogance,Wilder has been on your telly,he's been on Free Tv,then he moved over to Showtime.You Americans should be interested in the American Hw Champion of the World,but some of you Arrogant arseholes dont want to admit you didnt even know who he is a couple of fights ago and hasnt done anything of note.You Talk as if it's above America 'no one could care less' if no once care's why are Promos about Joshua/Wilder exceeding 2Million Views,why are forums like this packed with Americans who say Joshua is ducking.Then You complain why do the rest of the world despise you,it's intended Arrogance like that,thinking you are above everyone.By the Way this fight should be held in Vegas,but it cant be because Wilder the US Fighter dosent have any attraction in his home country

 

The OP original comparison is apples to oranges because Canelo-GGG drew in Mexicans.
I doubt Wilder has many Mexican fans.

This fight should be held in the UK. It wouldn't be a PPV bonanza in the US...please, Wilder isn't a
name like Canelo or GGG or Mayweather. If he beats Joshua, or if it's a great fight, the second fight
could be in Vegas.

It has to be Britain. If Wilder somehow beats Joshua, he can write his own cheque in the US overnight. He can't seriously think that they're going to go to the US for this does he?

But the US has more money,Las Vegas will always be No1.They both need to fight more in America being Promoted Properly so they can break the Casual Market.If this does become PPV in America,Showtime/HBO have to price it decently.The Promotion has to come across as Wilder the big,brash American.Then Joshua the Calm,Cool Brit.That is how it needs to come across to the Casuals.Both Big and Bad Knockout Artists.Hearn can do it,i'm not so sure about Di Bella.

 

Yeah but Canelo is a superstar there and GGG is probably a bigger draw than Joshua overall. People will pay the money to see them. I can't see AJ/Wilder pulling the same cash ... yet.

 

Fight in the UK but it will be at time that fits with US PPV time needs, financially best prospect for all parties, it is all about the money making potential, AJ has proven he can fill any UK venue so that is bankable money from the outset.

 

People still have to get home,Hearn has mentioned these type of points,kids will go to AJ Events,do they want to still be their at 12am in the Night all because of Americans feeling uncomfortable about the start Time.Maybe if the Main Event starts at 22:45 in the UK that is the latest i can see.That will still be a 17:45 start in the US,it dosent work out.It is quite simple,Las Vegas is the Preferred Destination but it wont/cant be PPV as No one Will buy it so the money you are losing out,just sends you back to the UK.

 

I do think that most of what you said about the boxing is OK, but I think you have misunderstood what is classed as welfare in the UK, it isn't just people on the dole, in fact that is quite low. The ppv is also closer to 2.5 in the USA

If held in the UK, you would have over 2,000,000 PPV buys from just the UK!

You would also have, if the Wlad fight is anything to go by, 10.6 million German viewers.



If you hold this fight in the US, you don't make any money from the European market due to the difference in time zones.
