AJ needs to stop lashing out to criticism from the greats before him (Lennox, Froch) and take it on the chin and use it as fuel to try to improve despite his age.
Froch is kind of right Thankfully tyan booth has some material to work with after this corona dry patch. Froch needs to be safe and hope AJ doesn't treaten his life, because his only hope will be a lucky punch from the gods.
Nah I don't blame him. He's a heavyweight world champion and could batter the pair of them right now. Heavyweight champion has always carried the title of the "baddest man" around and AJ doesn't owe either of them anything. If I was Joshua and being criticised or put down by any retired fighter I would probably respond negatively too. Besides, Froch repeatedly puts down his elder and a fighter who retired before him in Joe Calzaghe, and the general consensus of the boxing public is that Calzaghe was the superior boxer. Froch even calls him out for a "straightener" to this day. So would be nice for him to get slapped down by AJ because there's not a goddamn thing he would be able to do about it.
Re the P4P debate, I absolutely detest P4P debates comparing fighters from different weight classes let alone eras but it's not an absolute given that Froch ranks above Joshua. In resume right now probably yes but let's be honest, Froch's biggest asset was his punch resistance which for me doesn't score highly in P4P debates. Also let's not forget that he was absolutely WASHED by Andre Ward and even made to look hopeless by Dirrell. Until Joshua is completely schooled in a similar way by someone like Fury or Usyk, it's reasonable to rank Joshua higher because his sole defeat was a brutal battering but only after he was hit very hard on the temple. And he avenged that defeat easily anyway. I do have to say though that sending and then deleting WhatsApp messages is a tad pathetic. Would have loved him to just go off on Froch.
