Diaper? Calvin Klein if you don't mind .Heinous ? do you think that is appropriate, whimsical would be my choice.Look up Chaney, old George was some boy!
I HUGELY disagree. Have you seen 6 or more Spinks fights at 175? Totally forget Spinks the heavyweight, he went from being a genuine one punch KO artist to bugger all. The fact remains, Spinks is an enormous hitter at 175. Jeez. His laidback at times lazy style hid his wrath unfortunately, but those who lived the day will know exactly how hard he hit. I think he rivals Foster but Bob was much more stoppage orientated within his own style, particulary early.
I'll go with Joe Choynski. Going off memory of what I read several months ago, he only weighed about 175 and took on all the great heavyweights of the turn of the century: Johnson, Jefferies, Corbett etc.. Jack Johnson, who was KO'd by Choynski in 3 rounds, stated in the 1920's that Choynski hit harder than anyone he ever faced and speculated that he hit harder than Dempsey. If memory serves me, Jefferies and pretty much anyone else who commented on the subject pretty much agreed with Johnson about Joe hitting harder than anyone they faced.
1. Bob Fitzsimmons (almost everyone who saw him puts him up near the top as a puncher and with several ko's of much bigger men, he seems to be a good choice) 2. Bob Satterfield (rarely went as much as 180 but flattened big fellows such as Bob Baker, Cleveland Williams, and John Holman, among others-another fighter whose power was spoken of with awe) 3. Bob Foxworth (his career ended early because of an eye injury, but some observers, including Nat Fleischer, rated him as the best hitter they had seen)
................I haven't seenmany of those mentioned, so I'll just go with whom I've seen, and it's no contest; Julian Jackson. Never before or since have I seen one who routniely knocked guys kicking with just one shot the way he did. When he landed flush, it was almost like an electric shock going through his opponent's body. I've never seen fighters react that way on a regular basis other than when he landed.
Sam Langford. For a man who started his career at lightweight to clean KO a top 20 heavyweight of all time in Harry Wills shows his remarkable power.
Tragic shame we never got to see the best of Julian Jackson destroyer, Gerald McClellan. From what I have seen of him I can't say I have seen anyone who definitely hits harder.
