    why khan...........

since the Prescott defeat the way you have conducted yourself and turned yourself around has been hugely impressive. I became a fan of yours in the last 2 years or so. I love how your going after the biggest hardest fights. But why go down this road now?

Disrespecting guys like Froch, Haye by saying your the best british fighter....i dont see them two saying that. i dont remember hatton or calzaghe saying it? Also ripping into Brook.

Stay classy Amir. stupid little outbursts like this lose you fans and turn people against you. It doesnt suit you.

That was the main reason why I was a Khan hater months ago, it seemed to me that he was a legend in his own mind, writing an autobiography in his early twenies, saying **** like this...
Now I'm ok with him, if he manage to beat Zab he may win a fan on me, but he better stop being a cocky ***** because he will become the next Floyd (so hated, but without the talent)

    UK Boxing is in Chaos.
I would embrace Khan as he is one of the only things coming out of UK...

I don't see anything disrespectful he said. Froch and Haye have had their share of major trash talk.

Right now, Khan is on another level then most UK fighters. He has backing from a major US promoter and the #1 network in boxing. That means money at home as well as overseas. EVERYONE in his division, or in England, knows that as well. he'll have a target on his back for big money fights.

If Kell wants him, for one, he should wait till Kahn goes up to WW. And two, get some major wins of his own to make it more realistic.

Saying he's the best in the UK isn't disrespecting any other fighters, since they all essentially think that way.

khan is probably the most marketable uk fighter, hence why he has the backing of HBO. that doesnt make him the best fighter

its nothing criminally bad in what hes saying but of course its disrespectful to publicly declare yourself the best fighter in Britain when thats not clearly the case. Its debatable.

Also i dont recall Froch or Haye saying that so blaitantly.,

agree with what you said about Brook though

Sure, I agree. My money would be on Froch probably, as the best in the UK. But I certainly understand where Khan is coming from.

    same here.

i can see his point. and if i was khan i would believe im the best fighter in the uk aswel. but It just doesnt quite sound right because a lot of people would rank Froch higher and maybe Haye aswel.

e.g. 3 years ago Calzaghe saying hes the best fighter from the UK, thats different. because he CLEARLY was.

I dont know as a Khan fan i'd just prefer it if he kept quiet and saved these comments for when hes beat Judah and won a couple more marquee fights.

Khan has always been an arrogant tit, when he opens his mouth its usually cringe worthy. With that said he has proven himself to be a good fighter, potentially great. I think he is the future of 147 and will become undisputed champ in years to come. I still have Froch as Britains best, but Khan is a close second. If Froch beats Ward then he stays #1, if he loses and Khan beats Judah then Khan becomes #1. No need for his to dis other fights tho...

He is, without question, miles ahead of Haye in boxing ability, resume, just about any category you can think of.
That was, however, a thoughtless thing to say regarding Froch. Khan hasn't fought anywhere near the number of high-caliber opponents that Froch has. And he's beaten them all except one. The guy Khan lost to was not very good. Granted it was a while ago and Khan has obviously improved, but he's not ahead of Froch in any way.

Americans have thought that for decades though about UK Boxing.
    You guys havent a clue.

If it was left solely to American Boxing fans and writers to decide all worthy and deserving world title challengers, British boxers would NEVER get world title shots.
Thats not exagerration or hyperbole, its a genuine fact.

The odd Euro may do every few years, but it would basically be Americans vs American for 99% of World title fights above say Bantamweight.

Honestly, you don't think Froch and Haye would say the same things if asked if they were the best in Britain?, because I think they would.

Also, he's spot on about Kell Brook.
