I dont see whats so hard to comprehend about p4p. Simply put, watch PBF fight then go to a local amateur event for a HW fight. Now just take weight out of the equation and see who really is the best. The answer is simple, PBF is world class, the amateur boxer isnt therefore p4p Floyd is better. Its the same thing with the world scene except the differences are alot closer. Calzaghe/Floyd for example would be very difficult to separate head2head, I mean what can we base it on? Only thing we can base it on is how good they are perceived to be in light of their own competetion, both have dominated but Floyd have dominated greater fighters therefore is higher p4p.

Actually I was not joking. If we do P4P we might as well compare men and women boxers.

Because the talent pool for women is so small, they wont even be considered.

I agree that P4P list are at best a bit of fun and at worst pointless but I wouldn't go as far as putting girls in them. But TBH I'm against women boxing at all....

I know it's a stretch and the talent pool for womens boxing is not as great but I actually like watching womens tennis more than mens, for obvious reasons, as well as a lot of time the competition is better. I also like womens gymnastics much more than mens as well as womens ice-skating. More elegant/graceful. Boy am I gonna get it now!!!!! Not too crazy about female boxing but they've got the right.

Womens tennis and gymnastics is just as big as the males so makes sense where perhaps listing greatest players although even then, its usually split. The male boxing scene is 1000* bigger than that of the female so cant really make a case for it. Any top 100 WW would KTFO Laila Ali so thats saying something. Only one worth a mention is Ann Wolfe and shes half man.

Moving up in weight is WAAAYYY overrated. If you stay in a division, clear it out and take on ALL comers....thats dominance. Then its good to move up for a challenge.

But if you move up in weight to win a paper title, beat a few handpicked opponents and move weight again, your not proving much at all. Seems to be the way boxing is now.

TELL me im wrong and i'll tell you your an asswipe.

this is like sayin that because an ant is classed p4p stronger than an elephant that it is in general stronger, i think that p4p is a rating of how an individuals skill level is proportionate to their weight, if all boxers from all weight classes could somehow be placed at the same weight then the p4p no1 is the individual who has the best skill set.
