Hogwash....... Roy Jones was flawed in many ways.... But, he got away with things while he was young and spry....... Once he aged and slowed down, Roy Jones became normal......:deal Roy Jones had a lousy jab and a shaky chin..... As a young speed demon, it didn't matter.... As an aging old fart, it caught up to him....:hey Roy Jones will make the IBHOF without a doubt, but he is NOT the best ever to ever lace up the gloves........:bart Top-25? It's possible....:bbb:hi: MR.BILL:hat
oh yes he is i am not talking about the roy jones that lost 25 pounds in weight and never was the same. iam talking about the roy jones that looked unbeatable the superman of the ring.
Willie Pep is too fundamentally sound & too good an overall boxer for Roy, I think he would give him a boxing lesson if they were in the same weight.
yeah thats what they all say but as soon as they feel the first left hook it changes people will only respect roy in about 20 years time
I said PEOPLE DO RESPECT ROY NOW, THEY JUST DON'T THINK THE SUN SHINES OUT OF HIS *******, LIKE YOU SEEM TO.
Nobody and I mean nobody in the history of the sport would give prime Jones a 'boxing lesson'... beat him? Maybe, but not outclass him, P4P prime for prime he's competative with anyone from 168-175.
i am saying take roy jones best weight 168. take that as his prime. match him up agaisnt any fighter from 106lbs to over 200 lbs
yes he was. here is a video some one made for me showing roys chin in his prime http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UEtWnFFaZs
it just shows u what sort of fighter he was in his prime if your asking me "Was he ever HIT PROPERLY during his 168 prime?"
Yes, i've seen it. Given that Roy COULD be hit in his prime and given that he was NEVER hit by an elite puncher at that weight, what do you think would happen were he hit by a MASSIVE puncher at that weight?
