Beating Malignaggi would see him back in the top 10 for me.

What the hell has Jones done to be in the P4P top 50, much less top 25? Donaire seems absurdly high as well.

    I treated Hopkins as retired.

    He'd have been around #11.

So presumably that was a really good win for Calzaghe from your viewpoint?

You must have had him top 10 prior to that?

I think Doniare is a talent, I expect to see special things from him.

If you can name another 25 fighters who shold be ranked clearly above Jones I will be surprised. I certainly think he would be in a close one with Taylor who was one of the other fighters competing for the spot.

This begs the question, why do Marquez and Pac occupy the 1 and 2 spots? I'm not disputing it massively, as say Donaire, but I'm just interested in the logic behind it

Their fights must have been very close for you, and Pacquiao must have been quite a bit ahead of Calzaghe prior to that for you to consider a close loss to Pacquiao as better than a win over a legit top 10? Or did you score it for Marquez, and Pac's overall resume makes him top? What's the deal?

I disagree with you about Klitschko, though there is a case.

Marquez beat the #1 on my card, lost by a point on the judges card. How much room is there for other fighters between Marquez and Pac given the closeness of the decision, which I had a point the other way?

Oscar dropped a similairly thin decision to the p4p #1 who just retired. Again, even given the disparity of the weights, how much room can there be between the two?

Additionally, of their recent losses, whose is worse, Oscar's or Paul's?

I scored it in favour of Marquez. I consider that there is nothing between these two.

In the past 4 years, he's 3-3, the losses were blowouts (albeit to good fighters), and his only wins are against Prince Badi Ajamu, Anthony Hanshaw and Tito 20+ lbs over his best weight and 4 years removed from his last win. There are prospects who have better resumes than that. So it's not that difficult to say there are 25 clearly better. All 24 ahead of him except maybe Campbell should clearly be ranked higher, as should guys who weren't ranked like Tarver, Taylor, Casamayor, J. Diaz, Solis, and John.

Also, there's no logical way anyone can have Jones ranked over Tarver right now. None.

well paul williams bounced back with a devestating 1 rd knockout over the only guy to beat him. De la hoya is juz fighting like once a year it just doesnt make sense to say he achieved more than more in recent years! And JMM gave a hell of a performance but I got calzaghe @2 and cotto @3

The guy is right, Jones really struggles to get in there on any basis right now, as much as I would love it to boost Joe. His recent resume ain't too pretty, and its not as if he makes up for it with impressive displays against these guys, his feet are stuck in glue a lot of the time, he's not as fast as he was (although his handspeed is still good) and the stamina is awful

    Stick a fork in him.
