Sad thing is that other than Canelo, I can't think of any red-headed boxers. The first ones that popped to mind were Jorge Paez and Richard Grant, and obviously theirs were dyed, more fuchsia than anything.

I believe Bob Fitzsimmons had red hair, what little hair he had.

Funny thread.

I read a study somewhere that found that amongst white people, proportionatly red-haired people are far more heavily represented amongst elite athletes than non-red haired people (comparaed to the ratio in general society). They concluded that this was the result of being teased and **** when they were younger and therefore they learnt to fight and basically do things the hard way and thus had a greater will to win in competative sports. Having said that you don't see many ginger pro boxers around.
