Great performance by Whyte, he was totally superior. But Pov is shot. Looked like a shot fighter in every aspect. Time to retire.

You don't think a year off and a one-shot run at bridgerweight?

No. Pov is done. He's 41 and he's been taking some punishment lately. His reactions is what worried me the most. They are gone. He looked similar in the first fight and people were trying to claim he was "winning" or the fight was a draw. No it wasn't. Pov was losing that one too and just pulled a rabbit out of the hat.

And I want to give credit to Whyte because he could have played it safer but didn't. He was winning easily behind that jab.

Povetkin needs to salvage his reputation from this loss. The bomb squad are waiting backstage with a opportunistic proposal for him, if he accepts it. Lol

Hes a danger to himself if he keeps going, he was getting bashed about last time and its only the fact he pulled that punch out the bag that made him seem competitive.

I wouldn't have wanted to see him going into a dangerous fight in 6 months time with even more wear and tear on that performance. He didn't have much left in the first fight, he had nothing left in this one. He was on rubbery legs in the first round without even getting hurt. Definitely time to retire now, he's had a great career.

Povetkin please retire, enjoy your wealth and protect your health.
How many of the greats of our sport still fought into their 41st year, few, so no shame in retiring.

What he hasn’t been taking lately is his usual regimen of PEDs. Guess they got testing started back up again.

He's had a long career fighting a risky style. Legs and reflexes just aren't there anymore, and his durability isn't close to what it once was. I hope he hangs it up. Excellent career and one to be proud of.

Yeah his legs looked weak and wobbly, even in the first round before even getting hit. thats definitely a sign of ageing .... He's had a solid career. no shame. would love to see him retire. will be regarded in high esteem always.

    Gotta agree w/all above.
As a smallish HW in this era he's had a superlative career. He should retire with most of his marbles intact.

Wow Whyte beat a post Covid senior circuit HW ! On to the other DW ! That might be entertaining for as long as it lasts.
The winner can go on to lose to Fury, AJ, or some of the other top HWs :sisi2:
