2 great and respectful champions who will let their fists do the talking in the ring. Great match-up. War Powietkin!

Save it until after the fight.

Tyson Fury swept Seferi off his feet as if he was holding a bridesmaid whilst laughing and joking with him in the ring after he kissed him in the mouth when touching gloves. Seferi even apologized to Fury for hitting him during the fight.

There is little doubt that there was a ton of respect between them.

The end result was witnessing a farcical event, where two fighters were too afraid of hurting one another due to the fact that they had become so amicable with each other.

Joshua doesn't like to engage in trash talk and Povetkin always has the upmost respect for his opponents. Ive never seen Vetkin so much as look sideways at anybody throughout his whole career.

I like trash talk and pre-fight antics but you can't knock guys for respecting each other.

A total mismatch this is! As much of a fan I am of Povetkin, this fight should not be sanctioned at all. The size and physical difference of both guys just screams a totally unfair fight for the smaller Povetkin who risks suffering from permanent health damage and having years from his life decreased.

I guess it's not Joshua's fault because it's an obligatory fight. But I don't understand why the sanctioning bodies allow a total specimen like Anthony Joshua with an enormous and unfair size advantage, to fight against someone who is arguably a blown up light heavyweight with multiple pounds of body fat. Someone who doesn't even belong in the same ring with him.

I'm beginning to like Joshua more as a person and somewhat as a boxer as well (despite some corruptions occurring in his fights but may not be a result of purely his own fault). But I can't give him any credit for fighting and winning in such a mismatch against someone who he not only has a laughable and comical size / physical advantage against, but also an ancient boxer like Povetkin who is age 39 and is totally shot / past his best.

No pleasing some people on here is there. Especially wilder fans. This is 2 elite fighters who are showing respect for each other. If you don't like this kind of thing I'm guessing you must be American and a wrestling fan.

    Nothing wrong with respect.....

But watch Povetkin again when he taps his arm, that was fear/shock.

It makes him do a double take, he can't believe how big his arm is.

Isn't Povetkin pretty much the same size as Ortiz?

So he's the same height, younger, better resume and a former world title holder.....

Nobody questioned Ortiz as an opponent for Wilder.....

    Show's Wilder's at a much lower level I guess.

Of course, and I wouldn't blame Povetkin for it either. Johsua is like a totally different creature and a breed compared to the much smaller, shorter, chubbier, pudgier, fatter and weaker Povetkin. The fear is very much justified! But maybe he is sacrificing his health for money, because paying for his family's well being may be more important at this point in his life, knowing full well he is on the verge of getting permanent health damage and having years from his life reduced, from the hands of Joshua? I of course don't wish such a thing on anybody though. But I can't envisage any other possible outcome here.

Which is why the sanctioning bodies should look to protect fighters and promote fighter safety more, by preventing such ridiculous mismatches from ever taking place. As occassionally, fighters themselves will sacrifice their own health and safety if not prevented by the authorities. Just like how fights are sometimes stopped by the referees, even though fighters want to still continue but referees take into account the safety of the fighters. This rule should also apply pre-fight too.

Of course Joshua is significantly superior to Wilder. This isn't even up for debate! Wilder deserves even more criticism.
