Gave an interview to a Russian publication yesterday. Said that he will probably return in APril, and will be fighting in UK again. He might sign with Matchroom, some people predict.. kind of like a co-promotion deal, same thing big baby has, and Daniel Jacobs.

I want him to face either Big Baby or Dillian Whyte, or maybe even Ortiz, all would make a hell of a fight. Povetkin said he is in good spirits, and doesn't see any reason to hang up the gloves.

Good. He looked good enough against AJ to try to get one more big fight.

Might as well keep it going. I'd still prefer an announced and committed one-off goodbye fight as opposed to "a few more fights." But maybe that is me being selfish.

They need another big name heavyweight to step it up in the UK and enter the Joshua Whyte sphere. Alot of guys now vying for fights with these 2 guys. Enter Oleksander Usyk. Hopefully Usyk with his personality can reach superstar status in the UK, and what better way to enter the heavyweight division than smooth his way in against some smaller heavies like Povetkin, Parker and Chisora? With 3 big stars in the UK capable of selling out arenas, Matchroom will completely dominate the heavyweight scene.

Great! I've become a fan of him recently. He is genuinely good guy, not an ******* like Chudinov brothers. And very good fighter. But I don't want to see him vs Miller at this stage. He needs a tune up after such a hard loss.

Makes sense he works with Matchroom. Matchroom is where the money is at heavyweight. He showed he wasn't completely over the hill vs Joshua, he could be in some interesting fights.

I'd love to see him vs Ortiz but can't see Ortiz wanting it.

Povetkin/Whyte could be another good fight, though not sure why Hearn or Whyte would want it, far too risky, can't see him beating even a faded Povetkin.

Miller/Povetkin if Miller picks up the WBA regular belt would be good too. But again can't see Miller wanting it, Povetkin would wreck Miller.

    Agreed.

So it puts Alexander right back to where he was before the Joshua fight; too big of risk/small reward guy. And he's not completely shot so the up and comers, or better put their managers, do not want him yet. Actually what would benefit him most would be a scenario with 4 different heavyweight champs as opposed to Joshua holding 3 of the 4.

Wilder should fight him. So far Joshua has done a better job on the fighters both of them have faced so how about Wilder goes and tries to balance that out a little. Apparently hes afraid of nobody so theres no reason why that couldnt happen.

I was reading today that Luis Ortiz is in talks to sign with Hearn again, so Ortiz vs Povetkin is a possibility, hopefully. Povetkin vs Usyk is another fight I'd really like to see.

As long as the fights are under 6 rounds he'll be fine.
