Its exaggerated his power imo. He has good timing precision, but since the Rachman fight I've always wondered what everyone's on about with his power, its good, but its his all round punching capabilities that gets him ko's

Rumours in sparring are just that, rumours, unless there's video evidence or a neutral party who was present confirms it then it's all rather meaningless.

David Tua was apparently smashing up Holyfield before his fight with Tyson. Didn't stop Holyfield beating Tyson and it didn't help Tua to ever win a title.

 

Very slim correct. Everything's against him in this one. Age, size, fire power, home advantage for his opponent..Hes going to get eaten up imo

 

You see the sparring vid for that ? Tua looked like a pure power house and Holy bounced stuff off of him like it was nothing. In an actual fight and Tua prime i'd be worried for Holy if they fought. It would be a slugfest eventually, styles thing

 

Not sure if I've seen it, maybe I have but it's been so long that I've forgotten.

I could definitely see Tua giving Holyfield problems in sparring as Evander liked to slug it out, sometimes to his detriment. But sparring is just that sparring. Holyfield might adopt different tactics in an actual fight that mattered. More movement, more clinching, more head butts for sure.

Only thing that makes me think Evander could pull it off is his chin. He took a hell of a good shot and while no doubt Tua could hurt and give Holyfield a very tough fight at times I think Holyfield could win on work rate alone and tough it out to get a decision.

 

Cracking chin and recovery powers, but Tua was above the average puncher with that left prime. If he catches him properly hes in trouble, but as you say Holyfield tactically will fight to win with movement and boxing. Thing that would worry me is if Holyfields hurt, he trades, against a more robust heavier puncher

There's an interview with Jennings who has sparred him. He confirms Povetkin has dangerous power if you are in his wheelhouse. How many people have to be knocked out or mention his power (e.g Wach saying he was hurt more by Pov to the body than in Wlad fight) before people accept the guy can punch. Don't talk about the Hammer fight, Hammer shelled up, Pov was tappy tapping gloves like it was a picnic and Hammer took clean hits from Price, the Romanian has a decent chin.

 

PEDs can do miracles.
This is the real Povetkin. Without his PEDs he's harmless. Joshua will make quick work of that PED cheat.
