Povetkin Blaming Positive Test On Tainted Meat

Povetkin needs to fire his nutritionist or whoever in his team is responsible for the legal PEDs he takes

He is being let down by the people around him, who are meant to ensure that everything he takes is on the accepted list and not a banned substance.

 

And didn't Louis Ortiz blame tainted meat on one of his failed test and was given a pass by some on here?! Lol

lol, this excuse is like your dog ate your homework. The only reason this excuse has been tolerated is because boxing and boxing organizations have only recently become aware of anti-doping first hand and have not realized they will get bombarded by everyone and their dogs eating their homework. In first tier sports, eating tainted food excuse almost always equals a positive conviction.

Isn't that the popular excuse these days? Should he have said it was 'Ripped Fuel' or an 'energy drink'?

 

He's not done. If certain other boxers have gotten a pass for actual cattle steroids like Nandrolone and Winstrol then Povetkin should be back soon. There's a lot of money still to be made with an exciting fighter like that and PLENTY of glass to bust out. Such as Ortiz and Wilder.

I just don't understand. How stupid do you have to be? You know you are already under suspicion and you know VADA can catch you if they detected that incredibly small amount of Meldonium in your system from the last test. Why would you do any PED or check every thing going in your system to make sure that you won't get banned for it. Even if it is tainted meat (has that ever worked by the way?) he would still face punishment for it.

 

I blame it on a faulty saline IV setup. He should know how to properly flush his system to beat the tests.

 

My sympathies for Povetkin are drying up. I believed the Meldonium incident was excusable, but this second f'up makes me wonder. Either he's incredibly sloppy in what he eats or he's on the juice.

Edit: And I really like his fighting style, it's what we need more of, not less. Very disappointing this latest ped scandal.
