Povetkin looked like a fat slob in that fight.

Actually, he looks and fights like a fat sloppy version of Canelo Alvarez. Anyone else see the similarities?

And he won't look like a fat slob against Wilder, you can bet your house on that.

I'd never bet any of my houses on a fight, especially a fight being held in the most cheating location in the world, Russia. :smoke

Yeah, he'll be 'roided up. Won't help his chin though. I know his team has a lot of respect for Wilder because Povetkin rich backer wanted to make the environment as comfortable as possible, and to give him as many advantages as he can. Also they need an excessive amount of time to prepare for a so called bum club fighter. Does not make sense to anybody with a brain. Wilder is a serious threat to Povetkin, they know what's coming. Can he avoid being knocked out early or late. Depending on hope that Wilder is as bad as his haters say he is, is not going to work.

If a crusierweight who loss to Cunningham can beat Povetkin down like that then the Canelo look-alike has absolutely no chance against Wildman WIlder. None. Zero. Zilch. Nada.
Easy work for Wilder, and that $1M escrow will make his daughter a nice trust fund.

Wilder gets KO'd by a LHW in the Amateurs. Look at this guy. Wilder easily has 45 lbs on him LMAO

How on earth will Wilder deal with Povetkin's HW power? LOL

I see this as a 50/50 fight, if anyone thinks otherwise, you need to take off the rose tinted fanboy glasses and really have a think about it.

Wilder- Range, power BUT limited experience and can be sloppy creating openings.

Povetkin- Excellent amateur and pro career, very good combo puncher in close BUT can be picked off at range by a good jabber, height and reach limited.

What is pushing me slightly to Povetkin is his game in close. Wilder relies on his leverage to create power. IF that is nullified, and Povetkin can get into his range, the sharp combo work inside can create havoc for Wilder.

I think this fight could be the fight of 2016. They have such contrasting styles, so there will be definite fireworks.

You are very good at predictions, especially when you made a thread about how Gary Russel Jr. would school Lomachenko.

You've left out Wilder's height, reach and speed advantage.

The only advantage Povetkin has is experience due to his long amateur career. Even that isn't enough to give him a 50/50 chance which is why his manager decided to lose money by taking the fight to Russia where Povetkin could get other possible...cheating advantages, :yep

    One missed prediction right?

"Hopkins schools Kovalev, then stops Stevenson"
"When Gary Russell TKOs Lomachenko will he be a superstar??"
"Which round will Canelo run out of gas against Lara?"

    You pathetic BUM.

The BHOP fight isn't admissible. Many choose BHOP but time waits for no man.

The Russell fight was a clear miss. Lomo was much better at maintaining distance then I expected. He beat Russell fair and square and as I stated before the fight, if Lomo won, I'd become a fan. I am.

Lara beat Canelo. Lara was robbed by a GBP paid judge. The other two judge cards were closer to my prediction.

I also picked Fury by decision.
    Stevenson over fonfara
    Canelo over Cotto
    and WIlder over Stiverne

I don't predict Golovkin fights because those mismatches are ALWAYS too too predictable

    You lame wimp. :smoke

If the fight was in the US I'd give Wilder a decent enough chance of a points win but not in Russia. He'll have to press and will get tagged for sure. I can't see him tying up Pov ike Wlad did either.

 Why would he have to tie Povetkin up when it was Povetkin doing the tying up against Huck?

Wilder will be fighting his fight on the outside using his jab against Povetkin. Povetkin will be coming forward as he always does. He can't outbox Wilder on the inside or outside. His inside shots never had Huck in any trouble and Wilder's chin is as good as or better than Huck's, and Wilder's inside game is much better than Huck's.
Wilder's footwork is also much better than Huck's, espcially on the inside where he steps left or right while unloading powerful combinations. Povetkin will be coming forward but will be on the back foot quickly as he tries to avoid Wilder's combinations, which are 3x more accurate and powerful than Huck's.
    Wilder KO 6
