I think this would be an interesting rematch. Chambers didn't look too bad in their first fight, just seemed to go gun shy. Now he seems to be more confident.
Think Chambers would do better if they rematched? :think

I believe Eddie would do better because he is more confident and is in better shape- the shape he should've been in for the first fight if we're being blunt about it.

Would he be improved enough to win? That's the million dollar question. If each man didn't already have fights pretty much set with Wlad, I would've loved to see a rematch between them.

Povetkin ... he won the first fight, he has the advantage of having the win in the first fight and will carry on during the second fight.

Chambers would beat him next time. I expect Chambers to have a better work-rate, use more lateral movement, and use more foot movement. Chambers can possibly even TKO Povetkin from accumulation, but most likely Chambers will win by UD.

lol Povetkin isn't a world beater and Eddie could of won the last fight if he was more busy and counter-punching more. They might fight again because Wladimir isn't ready to fight until spring 2010.

He didn't need to be a world beater to be a Chambers beater.

That's why the ball was back in Chambers' court to prove he's improved enough to win the second time around. I think he could. It's a rematch that I'd like to see with the winner getting an immediate shot vs Wlad. :thumbsup

I think it would be much closer, I will sit on the fence.

Chambers looked excellent early before going missing.... Povetkin has looked ordinary at times since.

A rematch isn't out of the question IMO.

Povetkin has more experience ... more on his plate ... a better boxer ... and isn't used to losing.

The second fight would be close but wouldn't be any change in the winner. It was a reason why Chambers lost and that same reason would surface again.

Uh, maybe Povetkin won because he is a better fighter. He had flu, and he took Chambers' heart. He won the 4 man IBF elimination tourney, because he has the combination of drive and skills.

Chambers wisely went a different route (Dimitrenko) and rehabilitated his career. Well done to him, he's an exceptional boxer provided his opponent doesn't push him too hard and take him in deep waters.

Povetkin has come back from an injury, and because Chambers looked great in ONE FIGHT, it means Chambers is better? Get real, people.

Povetkin's fight with Estrada was decent practise, should Povetkin and Chambers ever meet again. Estrada being a poor man's Chambers, fairly tricky, overweight, clever counter puncher. A compact fighter that you have to open up with feints, etc.

Povetkin beat Chambers ugly, but found a way around those cute single counters by hitting in combination, punching round the guard, hitting the body.

Dimitrenko is a novice compared to Povetkin. But props to Eddie for beating the big man, and good luck to Eddie when he fights Wlad. He is one of the most skilled American fighters out there, and he is starting to show good heart and better fitness.

He didn't need to look great beating Dominick Guinn, Samuel Peter, and Calvin Brock. Two of those opponents were top 10 heavyweights. Judging by Chambers recent fight, his skills, and talent, yes he is the better fighter.

Povetkin no doubt, he won it clearly and would repeat it again.

Chambers. An out of shape Chambers had Povetkin looking like he got jumped and mugged by a bunch of guys. An in-shape Chambers takes a rematch for sure.
