Along with Andrzej Wawrzyk, Povetkin is also looking at 21-0 Joe "The Future" Hanks as his next WBA title defence. I've been aware of Hanks for some time, as he's been a long time member of #TeamScott, and has been sparring with OG Malik for years. Here's a picture of them, along with Olympic Gold Medallist Audley Harrison MBE and the murderous hard hitter Deontay Wilder.

He's also spent time hanging out at Royal Ascot with Dereck Chisora, and socialising with Britain's upper class. A world title fight for Hanks could therefore open up boxing to a new audience, who have traditionally preferred polo and tennis. What better way to open up the sport to new avenues of wealth than to give Hanks a world title shot and increase interest in the sport amongst wealthy Brits?

Also, look at the ****ing size of Hanks's arms. He looks like a cross between Lennox Lewis and Kimbo Slice.

Hanks therefore not only has power, but is also renowned for his incredible speed. Hanks is one of the three fastest and slickest HWs in the world, along with Malik Scott and David Haye. He spars with lightning-quick LHWs in order to hone his speed and reflexes. He was part of a formidable sparring camp including not only Chisora but undefeated WBO 175 champ Nathan Cleverly. And he's also sparred with the greatest defensive fighter of all time, James "Lights Out" Toney.

Furthermore, Povetkin has also been sparring with Malik Scott in Moscow.

As Povetkin has spent time with the slickest HW on the planet, he too will have been learning how to combat slick African-American fighters. And what better way to enhance his resume than to defend his world title against a bona fide S.A.A.?

In conclusion, Povetkin v Joe Hanks makes absolute sense. A combined undefeated record of 46-0. East vs West. USA vs Russia. Slick, entertaining African-American versus disciplined, well schooled Russian. This fight has everything, and I'm convinced that afterwards we would see a new world HW champion. Joe Hanks is "The Future" and there is nothing that can be done about the passage of time. :deal:yep

I just have to say, this picture immediately made me think of this:

But, on a serious note, Hanks should be ashamed of himself. Look how much bigger Toney's arm is. Toney's in his forties, he's got a thicker bicep and tricep. Think about that.

Povetkin is a joke. Fighting a guy who is essentially still a sparring partner and has only been in two 10 round fights. He might aswell fight Tom Hanks for all I care.

And who would you fight in a warm up fight for your biggest ever fight to become 'The Daddy' of the division? Prime Mike Tyson, Ali maybe?

Povetkin needs to **** off and get stripped of his paper title already. Oh well I guess I can manage with watching Wlad KTFO him also if he ever gets the balls to get in the ring.

    Yeah . . . . . but . . . . . but . . . . . but . . . . they're all tune ups. If the HW champ wants three tune ups in a row he can. He's only fighting those guys because everyone else in the world is ducking him.

I'd love to hear an explanation of how Povetkin is doing anything different to what Vitali is doing.

Both are defending paper titles against **** opposition with no intention of fighting the real champion of the division.

You cant! This is heavyweight boxing today! Look at Haye! He had a MANDATORY fight against ****ing John Ruiz (who did nothing in order to get mandatory, nothing) and another defense (PPV:D:lol::tired:hey) against Audley.
It seems that all good heavyweights today just search to make the most money and to have an easy way.
Povetkin already pissed out twice against Wladimir (did not show up to the press conference)! And do you know why? Because Sauerland lost the purse bid twice so they did not want that Povetkin fights Klitschko at RTL. And they will continue to **** out if they dont get the contract they want. Sauerland is very bad in dealing with other promotions! Just like K2.
Its all business dont point with a finger of others when your hero David Haye is the best example for it.

And Vitali fights not Wladimir because it is his brother...

What is Vitali doing, is recovering from an injury (reportedly) and contemplating retirement at the age of 41 after a long fighting career.....and Povetkin, he's been lining up garbage competition ever since he won the IBF mandatory, got hurt and sat on his title shot for 2 years. How is that similar at all?

Vitali does not hold a paper title. Nobody else has a claim to the WBC belt do they?
