That's a very very cool story

    Tell it again.

When Wlad can put him down with jabs, you know his punch resistance ain't all that. If Wilder clips him with a shot that he clipped Szpilka with today, he's done. LIKE DINNER. :nod

Not a chance. The Polish dude fought like a maniac that was mostly concentrating on not getting ko'd. That's the only reason he lasted so long and being a lefty was too tricky for the inexperienced DW.

Povetkin is a classic boxer that doesn't have anything that could surprise DW. You'll see, if povetkin doesn't come up with a reason to not fight DW for the 3rd time he'll get waxed quickly.

Povetkin is hoping for a weaker opponent that he can fight for a strap. He really doesn't want to fight DW who will be the most dangerous, active fighter he's ever fought. Getting destroyed by DW (which is the only possible outcome) will be pretty much the end of his career, as a name.

I never ranked him, as anything close to a true top hw , ever. He's praying he somehow could get a shot at a Martin type. A fighter that has zero business fighting for any title, not even secondary titles.

All I want is DW destroying fury which will happen

Potvekin was only there to cheer Szpilka on and pray that he pulled off a miracle ko upset insuring an easier road to the title. Unfortunately, the only thing Potvekin is assured of is an embarrassing beating followed by a brutal ko as he doesn't have the movement Szpilka displayed tonight.

so Povetkin who's the most seasoned heavyweight with the exception of Klit with years of amateur experience will run out in tears?LOL Wilder is no joke and it wont be easy for Povetkin but he will fancy his chances more seeing him live.

Povetkin is a vastly more skilled fighter than Szpilka, better mid range with faster hands, superior power and better chin and gas tank.Szplitz wouldn't last 5 rounds with Povetkin.

Povetkin a skilled and experienced Pro who is coming off of four or five straight recent KOs, some of them highlight reel himself. He's a quality HW and arguably top 3 in the division at worst. But he better protect his Chin and keep his hands up in there with Wilder. I could see that fight going either way.

I am guessing you guys didn't see Wilder's hazy gaze as he was jumping back, doing his best imitation of gazelle in distress, while a much smaller man with a much shorter reach was tagging him? Wilder's limitations are apparent and after Povetkin works the body for a few rounds, Wilder will stop jumping and try to slug with Sasha. That can only end one way - Povetkin KO.

Wilder showed lack of power fighting on the back foot. His most successful shots were classic one twos, thrown as he leaned in. Sasha's relentless pressure will keep him on the back foot constantly, and his uncoordinated jumps will eventually tire him out.

  9. Povetkin loses even faster than Szpilka, Szpilka has learned a lot under his new trainer, he was very slick, with great defensive movement. Povetkin would probably lose to Szpilka.

I don't think he should be putting himself in a position to eat such a savage shot like that though. Wouldn't you agree, MVC!?

(can I have some of your VCash?) :p

I don't see that prediction at all. Pov is not gonna go at him that early, and Wilder kind of kept his distance early in the fight tonight. He was way on the outside for the first 2-3 rounds.

I don't think either man could knock out the other guy so quickly, but if that were to happen, I'd imagine it would be WIlder the one KO'ing him.

As long as Povetkin fights in a smart manner and is able to get inside effectively, I actually favor him in this matchup. I thought his fight with Wladimir was just awful, and that was mainly due to how much Wlad was clinching in that matchup. I've never seen that much holding in a modern era boxing match. I was really surprised there were no point deductions given to Wladimir for the excess holding.

Anyway, I favor Sasha by close decision but WIlder has the power to stop it at any point.

True trouble is Povetkin is light ears ahead of Szpilka in every department, so its not easy lo land like its on Szpilka...

Povetkin is not going to move like Szpilka did. The movment gave Wilder issues but he is a young fighter and it was something he hasnt encountered.
