Povetkin - Donald under way!

Sounds like Povetkin doesnt have much power, and with his preassure style, hes gonna run into a big puncher thats gonna put his lights out.

 

Donald has not been stopped by Bowe, Johnson or Valuev, only Vitali was able to stop him and that was n the 11th round of their fight. The man has a seriously solid chin.

 

He was reckoned to be one of the most durable fighters in the world at the time of his fight vs Vitali.

 

I think those of us predicting a Povetkin stoppage win weren't giving Larry, who is a savvy vet with a solid chin, enough credit. If he wanted to just survive he would have and he did.

 

Good win for Povetkin. Ok, so who's next and when? He's being moved along very smartly. At this point I might take a lateral step and take on a few more fringe guys before stepping up to a legit top 10 guy. He's probably ready for a guy like Rahman at this point, but how about someone like Tony Thompson this fall?

This in my eyes is a very impressive win. Larry has been a threat to the fringe of the World scene.. taking Valuev and Bowe to the wire, and beating a still active Holyfield.. Larry lost very convincingly tonight.. Alex is a dangerous boxer puncher who uses combination punching to break his opponents down.. He is a very good promising champion in the making.

 

Damn because he didnt stop Donald but just whooped him very convincingly he lacks power ? how ignorant can somebody be.....

 

I've never had the chance to watch Povetkin fight, Ive known of him for a long time and his amateur experience got me thinking hes gonna be great, but i havent seen em yet ... I keep reading how hes a combination boxer puncher... I hope hes intelligent with that, cuz combinations often leave a guy wide open for a counter. are there any youtube videos of him??????

 

I didn't think Povetkin would stop Donald. Donald is one of those guys who lands on his feet every time--except for when he fought KlitschKO.

 

So far so good for Povetkin. He seems to be a fairly exciting, busy fighter. :good
