Sorry to be so off topic but I've often wondered about this topic. How many channels do you have there and what are some of them? For example, here in the states it's pretty common for your cable provider to have 70 or more channels on just the basic package. I have an expanded tier and get channels like History,History International, Military Channel, Home and Garden, Lifetime, Spike TV, Turner South, Fox Sports Net, ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN Classic, ESPN News, VS., Discovery Health, Discover Science, Discovery Times, BBC America, SciFi, Turner Classic Movies, Ameriacn Movie Classics, loads of both HBO and Showtime channels, CNN, Fox News,CNBC, A&E, VHI, MTV, VHI Classic, Speed, G4, Outdoor Channel, some European Soccer (Football) channel that I forget the name of, FX, Entertainment, etc.,etc. Sorry about the long post but I could name many more and probably have listed too many as it is. But I would be interested to hear how many any of you get in your country and what are some of their names? Particulary (but not just these) how many channels cover the fight game? BTW, do any of you out there have channels that cover American pro and college football? Thanks again and sorry for such a long post.
i am in the exception in the uk in that i have 2 sattelite dishes although many on esb also own a second dish to watch boxing from europe with as it is free. but to run it down for you. we get a freeview package (free as the name states of 30 channels)BBC/ITV/NEWS/ETCETC we get a sky package (never counted how many channels about 400 to 500 i would guess )$80 a month then with a moterised dish you have about another 2,500 channels albeit 3/4 are scrambeld. basically everything and anything you want and can think of from childrens programmes to porn/to opera/to sport/to movies/as well as most of europe/middle east and north africa with a larger dish. i get about 20 sports onlyn channels for example if i include/russian/italian/german sports channels.
