Povetkin has just proved himself to be the real deal

    Povetkin just iced the former unified lineal champ from the last era, which as we all know is the second best era ever. Wow amazing victory for Povetkin. The Rock was still well under 40 and to think a near 50 year old Foreman was able to win the lineal championship back in the 90's. Povetkin's the real deal.

    1. Did Povetkin today not ice a former unified lineal champ from the last era?

    2. Era wise how good was the 90's? Where about's do you rank that decade amongst others?

    3. Is Rahman not today far younger than one of the other 90's lineal champs?

    Great thread. Amazing win for Povetkin. We all know Povetkin would be an ATG in any era and would be relentlessly ducked by all the greats - Ali, Tyson, Lewis, Marciano, Louis, the list goes on...

    If only Povetkin actually got in the ring with other genuine top 10 boxers like Chambers, Chagaev and Byrd for instance........
