    Hey,
I know it might not be much. But I just wanted to help:

It's what the division would look like without The Klitschkos. Exciting and competitive. But it's all relative. With Wlad and Vitali lightyears ahead of everyone else, all the rest of them look boring, slow, out of shape, and powerless.

I thought it was a very good fight and that Huck proved he can hang with the big boys

his power and chin carried up and he was able to man handle a bigger man, his problem is the work rate, i think he is inactive at times and that may have allowed judges to give Povetkin rounds

Povetkin clearly looked affected by the lack of Atlas in his corner

I would take a dip in quality if it means entertaining fights. That was the best heavyweight fight I have seen in a while.

So much for those morons claiming modern day heavyweights steammroll Ali, Marciano, Frazier, even Foreman. This elite HW just got owned by a cruiserweight. Wasn't even supposed to be competitive. Just goes to show its not the size of the fighter its the size of his heart.

It was a close fight, a good contest. Heart was shown, but I agree with the OP here.

Povetkin was grossly out of shape. He had zero footwork! None. His defense consisted of lowering his head down to Huck's knee-level because Povetkin was too gassed out for anything else. Disgraceful.

Huck was as dirty and inaccurate as ever. In the fight of his life he has his opponent out on his feet but he can't finish him off. Some may call it lack of experience but I think Huck is just mentally too limited to figure out a more efficient way to finish off his opponents when they're ripe for the taking.

This was good entertainment, but not a display of great boxing. Quite to the contrary.

How would Saturday's Huck have looked against a 70s Jerry Quarry or Gerry Cooney. Because that's the level you have to rank Povetkin at, not technically (Povetkin is much better), but as an overall head-2-head fighter. What nutcase said Povetkin would steamroll Foreman or Ali?

    Agreed!

And to think that it has been referred to as "fight of the year" candidate.

Povetkin is truly a disgrace of a champion. Does the guy even train at all? No wonder Teddy Atlas left his azz over there in Russia.

I think it might be an overly harsh appraisal but then again I can't disagree with any of your points.

I thought it was close, but I thought Huck won.

That being said, Povetkin is NOT a heavyweight champion. He has a "fairy tale" belt that was made up and given to him. It means absolutely nothing, it's worthless...we all know Wladimir is the true one and only Heavyweight WBA champ, not Povetkin.
