Can you guys take this Russia/Ukraine talk to some politics forum? This was a good conversation until this talk sprung up. I give two sh!ts about the politics in Russia or the Ukraine. I want to talk Povetkin and Huck.

First of all, when have I ever "demonized" Putin? :huh

Second, the fact that you think that Putin really controls Russia tells me all I need to know :-(

Third, most of the westerners have no clue because they were neither born in Russia nor lived there for a long period of time. It is not a difficult concept to grasp. People would have a better idea about what's going on there if they at least knew the language, but, alas, that is not the case.

Finally, it is easy to debunk all the BS that you wrote. For instance, watch any Russian news station 1-4 months before the invasion (sorry, "civil war") started. It was clear as day that they were preparing something big due to the 100-fold increase in hate propaganda towards Ukraine. What's that? You don't speak the language? I thought you said that you knew as much as I did? :huh

Firstly, I was talking to Big Ukrainian and you seemed to want to get involved and he was saying he hated Putin, so that's sorted that for you.

I did not say anything about Putin being in control, I asked why demonise Putin in general but if he isn't then maybe you should educate everybody and tell us exactly who controls Russia and Putin and make sure it is not just another one of your opinions.

You didn't answer if you live in Ukraine and where you get your reports, you ignore anything you can't answer.

If you think speaking Russian makes you more aware of a conflict in Ukraine then you have a slim grasp on the world around you in 2015.

See the thing is you speak broadly and intentially vaguely and again you have said nothing about NATO, Western nations or Maidan 2014 and the real reason behind it.

You are waffling on about Russian news channels spouting propaganda which they do constantly, have done for years, you are stating the obvious and then stating your opinion on why they were doing it before a conflict in Ukraine, again just your opinion.

All we need is for someone to convince me that Huck won round 7. I really feel Povetkin should be awarded the round for his activity in the beginning. I think on my first scorecard I gave it to Huck because I thought Povetkin was going to touch canvas. After consecutive viewings, you can literally see Huck's main punches were behind Povetkin's head.

Then why do you keep mentioning Putin in your replies to my posts? Makes no sense (just like all of your posts).

I was born in Russia, but I do not live in Ukraine. I get my reports from lots of sources, including close friends from Odessa.

Speaking more than one language makes you more aware of the world around you. Why? Because one can read the source material without relying on broken/incorrect translations. Again, this is not a difficult concept to grasp.

I am not sure what exactly do you want me to say. Did NATO play a part in Maidan 2014? Yes. Does that justify Russia's actions? No.
