He'd win most and lose some. Lets keep in mind Sasha was out of shape in some fights (Huck).

In a 10 year period he'd happen to have an off-nights too and lose.

When in this shape, he beats most of them and I favor only Tyson, Holmes and peak in shape Witherspoon (slightly) against him.

I like him against Witherspoon and I always knew he had the left hook but was impressed with his right hand today. He gives Holmes a tough fight. With Tyson he would have to survive the early rds or hurt Mike early, tough order

It was a better era than today. He'd be like allot of belt holders in that era, win some lose plenty. He wouldn't be top 5 of the 80s

I think he'd probably come out third. His technical skills are up there and his knowledge of how to win a fight under adversity is superior to basically any second tier 80s heavyweight.

I can go with this, although with everyone else, I think he wins some loses some depending on what specific point in the 80s we're talking. And January 1990 Douglas I'd pick, too. Especially of Povetkin from the Huck fight showed up.

There's absolutely no reason to believe he wouldn't be able to be the third best heavyweight of the eighties. His biggest competition would probably be. . . Witherspoon?

Not really. Many fighters of the 80s had condition and drug issues. Drugs were rampant in the sport then. Today many fighters are far better prepared.

This era is much, much better than the 80's.

Povetkin is the or one of the most underrated fighters of all-time.

I believe he beats everyone from that era with only Tyson as the toss up. But his chin, skill level, and boxing ability would most likely give Tyson fits in later rounds.

Beats all of them outside of Iron Mike and Holmes.

Swear Povetkin has become the most overrated fighter in boxing. Forget Larry Holmes Gerry coney would have decapitated this fat Russian.

He could be the 3rd or 4th best heavyweight of the 80s.

He's the 3rd best heavyweight of this generation after Wladimir and Vitali.
