Yep. I was even comparing povetkins resume to vitalis last night, a few more top wins and he would go ahead of vitali on resume.

Perez was nothing more than a fat punch bag
even in worst era´s of Boxing - Perez would not even a challenger.

Better Wins for Povetkin are against
    Huck (very close)
    Tschagajew
    Takam
    Chambers

    Would beat anyone except Tyson.

Holmes would not get in the ring with him, but run scared, the same as he did against Page and Thomas.

The 80's was a greater era than today. Perez was lazy and had cement boots so lets not get carried away.

    Povetkin would lose against
    Tucker
    Douglas
    Holyfield
    Foreman
    Spoon

    Maybe Tubbs and maybe Thomas.

Berbick and Tillis at their best would be tough fights

He was underrated before and now he's being overrated by some. He's good no doubt, I have him as the clear number 2 heavyweight at the moment.

Yes he's looked really good in his last 3 fights but he's facing guys that suit his style. Takam was giving him problems when he was boxing but when he started slowing down and stayed in front of Povetkin he was ground down.

I think he would do well in all but the strongest era's but against a good boxer he will always have problems as proven in his fight with Wlad.

He wouldn't last. This era is the worst in history. He would be a gatekeeper at best in the 80's.

Buster Douglas was a better boxer than Wlad.

If Tackam was able to shut Povetkin out with his jab , Douglas would have more success as his jab was one of the greatest.
