A WhatsApp voicenote has been doing the rounds saying Povetkin is taking a dive in the 2nd and that the fight is fixed.

Seems like a lot of people have jumped on it judging by the odds.

    https://www.oddschecker.com/boxing/...und-betting?selectionName=hughie-fury-round-2

When I first checked 2nd round KO was 80/1 now its down to 8/1

The guy talking did sound like a pikey though....and the skirt would have to actually throw punches for it to happen.

    Worth a punt lads??

Why would he take a dive?

The last time this rumour went round it was before Eubank v McDonagh on the Groves-Smith undercard and what people claimed would happen did not happen.

Povetkin doesn’t strike me as some punk who will take a dive against ****ing Hughie Fury. If he was going to do something like this he would have done it against Joshua when being chinned early was realistic.

I wonder if people have just lumped on because of that message. It's a big PPV event and people easily get dragged into these sort of things.

Because any sane person knows Hughie by KO rounds 2 is pretty much throwing your money away.

It would be funny if Povetkin now sparked Hughie out in the second round.

Yeah of course its incredibly unlikely, but with pikeys being involved and films like Snatch you never know...

Would have been more believable if Warren aka Bricktop was the promotor.

Just can’t imagine Billy-Bob, John-Joe and old Paddy from the caravan site down in Trafford having the clout or dough to convince a bunch of Russian mafia nutcases to throw a fight on a Luke Campbell undercard.

Mind you, if Big Peter Fury has laid the law down and threatened a few Russians it sounds a tad more plausible.

Anyway both Big Peter and Young Hughie are true fighting men, I can’t see them ever agreeing to an opponent taking a dive.

Lol exactly, Povetkin doesn't even speak a lick of English let alone traveller language.

Imagine if Hughie does somehow manage to pull out a freak punch/slap and KO Povetkin in the 2nd.

Just watched the weigh in and Hughie's skin is still bad. They keep saying he is over all of that but he never looks that healthy.
