Povetkin will probably be Wlad's toughest opponent in his entire pro career.
Ross Puritty was a living punching bag against whom Wlad simply ran out of gas.Corrie Sanders gave Wlad short shrift knocking him out very quickly.
Lamon Brewster? Once again Wlad ran out of gas.
Anyway! Povetkin wont knock Wlad out as Sanders did in their encounter. It will be a war of attrition.Wlad for sure will have to take quite a lot of good shots.Povetkin will make the water extremely hot for Wlad.Thats for sure!

Povetkin WILL NOT be Wlad's toughest opponent. GET REAL. His toughest fights of his career were Sanders and Brewster. This fight will be easy for Wlad.

Too many people here think that Klitchsko is some kind of an invulnerable, flawless fighter. We all know he has glaring weaknesses and that his weak opposition has not been good enough to exploit them. Its so easy to over hype someone if they are on a winning streak (see Pavlik, Cotto). Povetkin is schooled well enough with boxing fundamentals, has enough raw talent and patience to take the time and try to exploit those weaknesses. If his chin holds and if he finds a way to close down the reach distance between him and Wlad, I would give him a 50/50 shot on the cards.

The only reason for arguing why those two are tougher opponents is that, unlike Povetkin, they both hold one punch KO power. Overall, Povetkin is a better boxer than either of them now and most likely will be, even more so in the future. In terms of talent, boxing fundamentals and potential, Povetkin is easily Klit's toughest opponent.

It is debatable that Povetkin is better at anything than Sanders or Brewster. When he loses, you'll know he's not better than either one of them.:good

After watching Hopkins fight I say anything is possible. I hope Povetkin wil expose Wladimir's one way style of fighting by forsing him to fight more versatile.
My prediction: Povetkin either on points or late stoppage.

Albert Williams? Afraid I didn't know the man, condolances of course for his loss though.

I knew about some of Lewis's sparring partners for several fights, but not Peter or Boswell. Thanks Bigcat, your behind-the-scenes view is always interesting :good

Any movement on Friday's next bout?

The defense thing you pointed out is why Povetkin will lose, if I'm wrong about Povetkin's chin I'll admit I'm wrong after the fight, and Wladimir hasn't ran out of gas in a fight in years, I believe he's passed that phase. To me it has Klitschko TKO written all over this fight, I just don't see him outboxing Wladimir or giving him too much trouble. Your analysis is giving me lots to think about though since I haven't saw a whole lot of Povetkin.:good
