Wlad is the WBA heavyweight champion, and nobody ranks Povetkin to be the #1 heavyweight in the world, therefore he is not the world champion of any organization reguardless of what the WBA decides to call him. Upgrading Wlad to Super Champion is pointless because they still acknowledge Wlad as the best in their organization. APs belt is no more meaningful than a international belt or an eliminator spot Because of this, his defense against Rahman is irrelevant. So, if he does fight Huck instead of Rahman, who gives a

. Huck can not become a champion by beating Povetkin.

Whats killing boxing isnt the fights, or the fighters, its the people who recognize corrupt sanctioning bodies and belts. The Ring has been good about recognising the true champions, now the boxing media needs to take some initiative and now acknoweldege these attempts by the WBA and WBC to do what they want and have as many champions as they want.

100 percent right. I'll also add this: Povetkin is not a gentleman. He's not a man. For me, Rex, my dog, is more person than him.

Yes, with each of the four orgs existing, the scene is muddy enough, but when they start adding a second champion, each, its laughable.

Povetkin is a contender, period. If he beats Huck, or Rahman, he'll still be a mere contender.

    True

Not really saying anything that everyone doesn't already know here.

Wlad is World Champ. Vitali is a sort of half champ that I wish would go away.
