Povetkin is OVERRATED

I think Povetkin is a good and dangerous fighter. But not a great fighter and is definitely somewhat overrated on this board. He's beaten some decent fighters, but not any real world beaters. And all the fighters he has beaten have either been around his size or completely stationary punching bags like Wach.

Takam, Perez, Chambers, Wach, Huck, were all decent, but not exactly all time greats. And Rahman was shot when he fought him the fight was completely pointless.

His one shot at an all time great was Wlad, and he had no idea what to do with him. There is nothing to suggest Povetkin should be a favorite against any bigger taller fighter with either power or speed.

 

Povetkin is legit. But his height seems overrated. Think he's only 6'1''.

 

Keep overrating Povetkin, so when he gets TKO'd by Wilder this year, you will be forced to give him the respect he deserves. Of course most here will just say Povetkin was a bum all along.

 

If Stiverne could connect. Povetkin will connect.

 

Povetkin deserves all the credit he's getting. He has a good record, decent wins. Better than most out there!

Povetkin is not getting any younger .needs a title shot in the next twelve months. If Wilder is as bad as many on this forum think should be easy?

Wilder's chances went up for me after watching his fight with Wach.

He was one note and predictable. Wach is a guy who'd be 1 round KO'd by a 18 year old Mike Tyson.

 

Come on...

 

Yeah Tyson KO1 Wach 100% despite the fact far less durable fighters went rounds with him and Wach ate power shots from Povetkin and Wlad all night.
