Difference is Takam schooled Thompson over 12 rounds start to finish, Thompson won a couple of rounds and nearly KO'd Scott in the 9th, Scott may have not been on the winning end had the fight been 10 instead of 12.... Between how he performed against Perez, Thompson and Povetkin he's definitely a very good heavyweight, I don't get why you Wilder fanboys over-****yze and nitpick, regardless of the 'official' results of those fights it's pretty easy to take from them that Takam is a good heavyweight. Ortiz did not handle Jennings with relative ease, he dropped 2-3 rounds to him already and was losing the 7th before he got the uppercut in..... It was definitely a fairly competitive fight.
It depends on how you rate him. . Can't go off the bs org rankings. Povetkin is exactly where he should be, on his very best night he could muster 6 rounds of b level bozing as long as he's not hit clean by any remotely close to an A level fighter. We don't have to worry about that if he wants another shot he has to fight a way better, way more aggressive and way more gifted fighter in DW,which he would be hurt badly by, and very early.. 2 rounds max. If he made it to round up 3 against DW thats a very great accomplishment for such a limited hw
No doubt Mark Breland is a great guy with alot of boxing knowledge. But let's not go comparing him to one of the greatest trainers of all time based on his work with Wilder. At least not at this stage in Wilders career.
