and look who adamek is fighting next poor mcbride is gonn get seriously hurt, only a sick and twisted individual would be ok with this fight, they shouldnt even sanction such a miss match.
If Wlad was fightin Povetkin, Povetkin would be the gold medal winning killer at heavweight that could beat almost any heavyweight in any era.
Povetkin refused to fight Vitali or Vlad, same as Haye. Teddy Atlas has destroyed Povetkin like he has destroyed Grant and so many other fighters he has de-trained.
What I basically remember when Wlad/Povetkin was on is people saying things like "Eh. It won't really add anything to Wlad's legacy. The guy's got almost no chance. Just another defense."...etc.
lets just keep it simple to some facts ye?: Haye will have povetkin as his mandatory. Haye wanted wlad, wlad chose to fight chisora too close to haye fight, making that fight not possible, wlad did not want to fight earlier,or behind closed doors earlier,or have chisora as a back up on night of haye fight. Povetkin has good wins over top ranked heavyweights, this makes him a legit opponent. Povetkin is undefeated, and not ring worn and old. Povetkin has a new trainer,it takes time to get used to new methods, and a broken hand does stop a better performance. Maybe povetkin doesnt suit atlas training, but im sure with a title shot,he will fight to what suits him best, even if ignoring his own trainer. And he will be focused/determined for this fight.
Pov is ovverrated, but he is good. Its biggest test for Haye in HW BTW, I heard that Pov got glass jaw, is it true?
Exactly because most of the people voting will of actually fancied Haye to win but lied about it. Similar to Khan-Maidana where nobody thought Khan would take the fight and when he did people bricked it a bit (although I though that one was a draw).
He doesn't look better there than now really considering that is actually his highlight reel. Chambers dominated him in the first four rounds of their fight. Povetkin is a tough fighter, it is fair to say he ducked Wlad but he had only had about 14 fights at the time he was mandatory so maybe he just wanted a bit more expierence in the pro ranks first. This is hardly a cherry pick by Haye, it is a good test to see how good he is at this weight actually.
