Povetkin beats him via points or ko win.Povetkin has never been stopped in amateurs or professionals but Joshua, on the other hand, has been stopped in amateurs.Povetkin much more experienced both in pro and amateurs.Joshua will need 5 years to obtain that kinda experience in pro ranks like Povetkin did.Joshua looks good against low level to mid level opposition but I doubt he would ease through Povetkin's opposition.Stamina wise Povetkin is ahead,Joshua pumps out fast in his fights if he is pressured.Power wise Povetkin has the edge as well.

Joshua is a fighter ive studied extensively ,he has much more power than anyone not named Klitchko, good accuracy and speed . Povetkin has not fought a 250 pounder who is aggressive and Joshua would knock him out before stamina is a problem ,though i see no evidence of the smaller Povetkin making Joshua gas out ,he hasnt yet and looked fresh in 7 rnds against Breazeale . To assume an athlete and athletic trained guy all his life even in track and field will not adapt to going longer is reaching . The smaller Povetkin will be the one who needs the stamina to keep such giant off him ,this isnt Mariusz Wach .

Povetkin has great credentials but really this match up is the worst i can think of for him. Joshua knocks him out 5th rnd .

When? 2016 to early 2017, Povetkin.

2018 or longer, Joshua, who will likely wait for Povetkin to age.

I still rate Povetkin higher. I know resume doesn't help you when you're in the ring, but Pov has proven he can beat a very large variety of opponents.

This is a tough one, simply because we don't know:

    a) how good Joshua is. He hasn't been in with any world-level opponent as a pro, although to me he passes the eye test.

    b) whether Povetkin is still close to his prime. He is already 37. Also, he is unable to take meldonium anymore, would he be anywhere near his prime in a future fight with Joshua?

I want to see this fight, funny that Hearn does not see Povetkin as a threat. He mocked Mihai Nistor in one interview but reality is that fight showed Joshua's dodgy chin.
