Joshua just focuses on knocking his opponents out and when he surges forward he can catch big shot because he does not have head movement or any other good defense he just covers up when shots come.

He will lose in 2017 to Povetkin because of how he fought in 2012 in basically an entirely different sport....yeah ok lol fighters never improve from the amateur days, i forgot about that

Think Joshua probably moved ahead of Povetkin now - but he would represent a more live opponent than anyone AJ has faced to date (obviously). Like others - I want to see how he fares this weekend - but I expect him to get Stiverne out of there (and look good doing so...)

If Povetkin was fighting the Joshua who fought in the Olympics then I'd be confident Povetkin would knock him out, even if Povetkin is past his best.

But I think Joshua has improved. He is more economical with his punches, his guard/defence is better, he's far more composed and he even moves a bit better than he used to.

But I can't confidently pick Joshua beating Povetkin. We haven't seen him deal with a fighter than could pressure him like Povetkin could. Joshua isn't going to smother Sasha like Wlad did, Povetkin would have more chances to land something big.

I've always had doubts about Joshua's movement and if he is pushed back consistently I think he'll be far less effective. He has a punchers chance and has the size and uppercut that could really hurt Povetkin. So maybe Joshua's power bails him out of a fight he's losing and with an effective uppercut he can finish Povetkin unlike Wlad who didn't have the inside skills to do this.

My head says Povetkin is more proven and will win, but my gut says Joshua can pull it off. I really need to see how they both do in their next fights to have any real idea of who will win, I can't confidently pick a winner right now.

Povetkin is not fluid enough he only fights in a hard gritty style of breaking down guys , hes not doing that here . Joshua k.o by rnd 3 . Klitchko knocked him down with a jab /hook hybrid punch in rnd one . The first big bomb that hits cleanly and the fight is over in that rnd bc Joshua isnt going to let him coast . Hes outmatched in every area here ,total mismatch its like putting a van in a game of chicken against a mac truck.!

Povetkin's KO's of Charr, Takam, and Perez are more impressive than anything Joshua has done. That is how bad Joshua's resume is. At this point in his career Povetkin had already beat Byrd and Chambers who were much better than the jokes Johsua has been fighting.

Joshua had a very short amateur career and was learning on the job. He is a totally different and hugely improved fighter to the inexperienced, green kid he was in the AMs. Not to mention his style and attributes are much more suited to the pro game. He would destroy the guys he struggled with in the AMs in a professional bout.

Joshua lost to Dillian Whyte in the amateurs, look how he ended up.

Do you ever post anything else apart from about Joshua's resume? Change the record, you're obsessed.

Povetkin is (was) a beast, we'll see if that's still true shortly. if it is then he'd surely despatch Joshua. But he probably won't get a chance to. Hearn would never put him in with Povetkin unless he had to. Wlad they think is over the hill as we know.

Not my fault Joshua has been coddled and been carefully matched with handpicked opponents. Wonder why that is?

His first 18 bouts are better or the same as the first 18 bouts of Wlad, Vitali, Wilder, Lewis, Mike Tyson, Tyson Fury... etc. etc. etc.
