It was the most outstanding finishing move I have ever seen. Like you remove a power source from a robot, Povetkin UNPLUGGED Whyte with his devastating uppercut. Whyte was dropped like a bag of hay.

Povetkin snatched Whyte's soul. If Whyte is "body snatcher", Povetkin is "soul snatcher".

Kudos to Povetkin. Before the match, everybody was talking about Whyte vs AJ or Whyte vs Fury matches, like Whyte was already past Povetkin.

Povetkin is better than Wilder, Fury and Andy Ruiz.

    Povetkin easily beat Hughie Fury.

Hughie showed a good chin in that fight to not be dropped.

The UK cant underestimate their opponents, it happened in the world cup, when they were already looking past Croatia to make it to the finals, instead they got beat in overtime :risas3:

Hughie showed a hell of a beard in that fight. Look at some of the perfectly timed right hand bombs Povetkin cracked him with towards the end of the video. Those were KO shots and he took them like a boss. And Povetkin has slipped considerably since then. The Povetkin who fought Hunter wasn't the same as that one and the one who fought Whyte looked a lot worse thanks to what Hunter took out of him.

The Fury's are born and bred fighting men.

If Hughie had a higher an offensive output he'd have beat Povetkin. He's only 25, sadly he has absolutely no athletic gifts.

All he needs is a touch of power, and, at his height, he will not be physcially mature until he is 30 or so.

In five years we will be talking about him.

Probably, he'll never have the physical size gift that Tyson has. Tyson always has that get out of jail brawl mode which Hughie doesn't really have.

He is still billed at 6'6" , though. They started him out too quickly, but he'll have his day yet.

To be a fighting man born and bred you need some athletic gifts. Tyson Fury is deceptively athletic for his size.

I think Hughie lacks the mentality to be sufficiently offensive to be a top 10 HW. It doesnt look like he enjoys boxing either. I also think that athletically he is limited. I am afraid age wont magically improve him...

He is at a level that most HWs will never get to, having said all that. His size and elusiveness are his elite qualities.

I also agree that Povetkin has gone backwards since the Hughie win.
