If current Povetkin had been around in the 90's he'd have eclipsed Morrison and Golota as the best white fighter of that era imo.
Watching this fight, I couldn't help the feeling I'd look good against Wawrzyk. And I don't even box.
Povetkin looked mesmerizing against the Pole, stunning even. The countering, that stinging left hook and combinations with intense speed were something we'd expect to see at one of the much smaller weight classes. I liked the way Povetkin took his time like a true pro and didn't rush his shots against the shook up Pole. The sheer precision and speed took him to school. so Wlad knows this is the toughest test of his career. Yes I have Wlad as the slight favourite but Sasha's a clear live underdog here that has the tools in spades to win big by tko.
He fights EXACTLY like Morrison but is fatter has much weaker punches and a better chin I'm not sure he could beat Morrison and at least in this fight his head movement didn't look great so Morrison has probably better defense
He looked good against average fighter, Wlad is whole another level, Wlad stops him late in the fight.
