    Povetkin:

"Things didn't quite go as well as I wanted, but I never give up. Of course, he was the better fighter, he's the best in the world, that's clear."

    No complaints! :good

What's your point? It doesn't change the fact that the complaints are warranted and are drawing ire from people who want to see a good match up and rules actually enforced by refs.

At the same time, Povetkin is probably asking himself why he couldn't manage to be more successful despite the clinching. And that mostly comes down to Wlad just being better in every way. Still, the clinching didn't help Povetkin at all.

If he used angles, lateral movement and feints more, then maybe Povetkin would have been more successful in getting off when inside.

Here's a quote pulled directly from my comment you 'coincidentally' happened to ignore:

"And that mostly comes down to Wlad just being better in every way."

    :patsch

Even though the scores did not reflect it Povetkin did a lot better than Haye.
At least he actually tried to win and got in some shots.

Povetkin, unlike Haye, opted to fight like a man. IF he didn't duck and drive his head forward as much he might have done better, woulda avoided the clinches. TO beat Wlad you have to make him take the fight to you, then make him pay.

Povetkin came in to try and win, yeah it was obvious before the fight that his chances are slim but atleast he didn't ***** out like Haye and ran away for 12 rounds just trying to survive. If Haye tried to fight Klitschko he would get KTFO.

At one point in round seven, Pov's clinching kept him from being KO'd.

Wlad's clinching was never that critical.
