And yet, only one of the two used the clinch to avoid the KO.:D

Wlad put on the most cynical cheating performance that I have seen in a long time.

Holding, pushing down on the head, forearm smashes all night and flinging Povetkin to the canvas WWE style numerous times. Povetkin even got a count after being flung to the canvas.

    Horrible crap to watch.

Wlad is no gentleman based on that cheating performance.

The ref had no control over the cheating. He was completely ineffective.

Wlad would have won anyway but tonight he showed a real bad side and how cynical a fighter he is.

It will be good to see the back of him if that kind of cheating is all he has to offer.

No, lad. Watch round 7 again.

Sober and with your glasses on.

Wlad did around 90 % of the clinching in the fight, but in rd 7 Pov was the one doing the holding and he NEEDED to, in that instance.

Wlad was never rocked the entire fight.

His only wobbly moment came when Sasha stood on his foot for a little while.

    Get over it, sonny.

    119-104 over the top-ranked contender.

Best in the world right now.

Yeah but that was clinching as it really should be used. And it only happened a lot within that particular round cause he was hurt.

Wlad's clinching was only significant because it was used soooo much. These fighters practice slipping the jab to prepare for Wlad, but damn, apparently they need to learn to avoid getting grabbed any time they are able to get inside. I think a lot of these guys overlook that. Wlad doesn't have a lot in his arsenal but he does the things he does very well, and holding opponents off from inside attack is one of them.

I mean, you can't say that it isn't a useful tactic for him. There is a reason he uses it so often.

Right now Wlad beats a 42 year old Vitali

Vitali in his prime knocks Wlad out though
