“Many believe that Joshua lost significant confidence and hunger post-Wlad.”

This is a nothing statement based on 0 evidence.

“Povetkin and Wilder fought Firtha and Duhaupas, Povetkin went 2-0 (1 KO), Wilder went 2-0 (2 KO's)”

This is a casuals argument and highlights you know jack about the sport. Anthony Joshua beat Parker and stopped Kevin Johnson while Ruiz lost to Parker and went the distance with Johnson, yet Ruiz stopped Joshua when they fought.

Styles make fights, the most basic concept in boxing.

There's zero doubt he went on a diet of pills, poppers and pellets after the loss to Klitschko. .

Equally to blame? Come on, that’s just downplaying it. He isn’t called clinchko for no reason, he did this every fight, it was just even more so pronounced against smaller Povetkin

    Agree.
To make him look worse than he was. For a smallish HW he had an excellent career. Short answer to OP - NO.

Povetkin used meldonium that isn’t a steroid , meldonium is a supplement and banning it was political.

There's no doubt Whyte's way up there, I'd say top 1. Whyte had beaten Chisora x2, Parker and Rivas (albeit with degrees of controversy in all cases) and had only lost to Joshua in Joshua's 4th toughest fight at the time, after Ruiz 1, Wlad and Povetkin himself. The likes of Chagaev and Chambers were both 6' tall if that with stubby arms and were basically fat cruiserweights with less power than Whyte, Chambers especially. And while Whyte's performance (or lack thereof) against Fury is fresher in the mind, neither Chagaev or Chambers could land anything significant on Wlad for love or money. They were all effectively bums at the top level, though Whyte had a greater puncher's chance.

Povetkin is rated very highly by many based on considerable speculation:

"If Wlad hadn't held half as much, Povetkin would have beaten him"

Unknowable and Povetkin didn't take matters into his own hands by fouling Wlad back, he accepted Wlad's fouling and thus defeat.

"If Wilder didn't duck him, Povetkin would have beaten him"

Unknowable and assumes that Wilder was afraid of him, which I seriously doubt. Beating Whyte/Chambers/Chagaev in wars and beating Wilder are entirely different tasks. Plus Povetkin blatantly avoided Wlad multiple times and sidestepped Ortiz.

"If Povetkin wasn't 39, he'd have beaten Joshua"

Similar to the point above regarding Whyte/Chambers/Chagaev. Povetkin got KO'd in 7 rounds by a Joshua who was on the cusp of getting battered by Ruiz.

Yes Klitschko overdid the clinching but what was Povetkin's tactic? He was just charging head first into Wlad's chest. He didn't show the type of footwork he did against Price and Joshua where he was moving in and out of range. Povetkin never complained after the fight.
