I have never seen him put in an impressive performance. This time around he looked incredibly soft and his conditioning was a joke.

But most importantly his chin looked very questionable, Huck was rocking him with JABS!!!

I'd love to see Povetkin against Wlad, just so we can get him off the HW scene once and for all.

    Dodgy chin? haha

That massive right in the 12th didn't seem to even rock him.

He must improve his stamina. If he improves this then he won't have problem with fighters like Huck. His real problems began after round 4 when he was exhausted. He can take up beating without much problem. I agree that his career is getting worse. He is a bit lazy. He must work harder

Fighters like Huck ? Huck is a cruiserweight and Povetkin was supposed to beat Huck easily. I think fighters like Huck shouldn't be his benchmark if he wants to do sth good by the heavies. :hat

I haven't heard of him being rated particularly highly, in the last few years anyway. He looked pretty good in his first 15 fights or so but he's regressed horribly since then. I can't recall seeing a fighter go downhill like this while he should still be in his athletic prime.

Stamina seems to be the main issue, the 4th round took a lot out of him & he looked ****ed after the 7th

Povetkin has good head movement, punching technique & puts together combinations very well.

Last night he fought a durable caveman with a huge heart & he only just escaped. Can he learn from the experience & improve?

I honestly thought Povetkin was better. Heck after round 4 he was totally gassed out.

Maybe, just maybe this fight was a huge wakeup call for Povetkin but I think he'll just keep eating junk food, drink vodka and fight with an excess 10 lbs of bodyfat that drains his stamina.

Also anyone notice how Povetkin had ZERO snap in his punches? This guy is as feather fisted as Adamek.

He has good punching form but Huck is ****ing tough. Povetkin clearly hits harder than Adamek

Then you didn't watch him a few months ago against Boswell. I think it's harsh giving Povetkin much flak for that performance. Huck hit him with something like 87 illegal punches, that's going to take it's toll obviously. There's only so much he can do in those circumstances, especially when the ref refuses to do anything about it.

Not a big fan, but we need more olympic gold-medal winners in the division - not less. This guy needs to get himself in shape and get serious with his lifestyle - a few years ago I was thinking he could be a force if he swapped the babyfat for muscle, but things have regressed even further in that department since then rather than improve and time is running out for him.
