Past Prime byrd, past prime Donald, prime chambers, shot rahman, past prime Boswell, prime huck, prime chagaev, prime tekam, prime wlad, prime Perez, past prime wach, no training duhaupas and prime hammer.

That's world's better than Mr. Wilder, Mr. Parker and Mr. AJ

 

I thought this guy was on my ignore list... probably not, but that's easily fixed.

 

Boswell was past prime but Povetkin was the only guy to really school him. McCline got lucky late and was behind on two cards in 03 when he stopped Boswell.

 

Prime only means something if they were top fighters or got a solid win in their primes. Perez, Takam, and Hammer at their best are barely top 15-20 fighters.

Mike Perez isn't a top heavyweight or cruiserweight. Jennings easily beat him before Povetkin and Briedis also easily outclassed him at cruiserweight.

Takam is another overhyped fighter. His complete lack of power and poor stamina has and will continue to let him down at the top level. He landed flush on Joshua and Povetkin numerous times and still couldn't put a dent in either one of them. Takam also struggled badly against Parker, who made Takam look completely mediocre.

Hammer was easily destroyed by Wach and Fury. Whyte is even better than Hammer, which is saying something, since Whyte is nothing special.

 

Boswell didn't have a prime. He was a fringe top 20 guy who was a career sparring partner. In fact, he was Povetkin's chief sparring partner to help him prepare for Chagaev. Povetkin knew him inside and out. So he picked Boswell as his first defense because he was an easy win.

Exactly. Perez just lost in the cruiserweight tournament, where he actually showed up shape. He was almost 50 POUNDS HEAVIER for Povetkin.

I can't believe people are still harping about Mike Perez. He isn't a top heavyweight and he was a freaking cow against Povetkin.

 

Chubby boy has some a couple of good wins, just not much in between them two wins. Some of them are ok though.

 

Amazes me that the same crowd who are here attacking Povetkins resume are more often than not go out of their way to defend the farcical run of the current WBC champion.

in reality, all the current champs are doing a team K bro, mincing easy opposition sequentially.

 

What are you going on about you spastic? I praised Joshua/Takam considering the circumstances and actually argued that it was every bit as good as fight with Pulev would have been due to how Takam matched with Joshua and the fact that he's an underrated HW.

 

And yet his record/resume is still far better than Wilders.
