Good to hear. Povetkin is the only man who can stop Wladimir at this point in time.

Povetkin had the chance twice and pulls out.

    Nothing but talk from Sauerland.

For me Povetkin actually fighting Wlad is in the box of "still in the ring when the bell sounded for round one" before I believe it.

I think Suaerland and Potevetkin are ready for their cashout. I mean, he'll lose, likely be KOd, but it won't hurt his career since he could come back and sneak the kiddie belt back vs a Welliver, Banks, or Mitchell.
Then, he could continue to defend it, what 2 yrs before being forced to fight Wlad again.
By that time, Wlad may be ready to hang em up or perhaps drop the other titles to finally get his Arreola fight when Nipples is given the vacant WBC belt.:think

Let me guess he throws the fight and takes a dive.

Only if Wlad pays him step aside $$$, and it's gonna be fight Wlad won't wanna pass on.

I could see Potvetkin winning back his vacant belt, that is after he drops it's to fight Wlad.

    Good luck with that.

Anyway, I would certianly hope Povetkin and his team have finally gotten enough confidence in their fighter to allow him to take his ass whooping like a man.

Wlad will certainly bring the ass whooping that Povetkin has been hesitant to get. We chastise Povetkin, but he's been afraid of Wlad for a very good reason................:hey.

Mid to late round knock OUT. Maybe even a KTFO.:good

But as others have said, I'll believe it when I see the staredown in the ring.

Exactly how I feel. After Povetkins first 15 fights, it looked like this would be an interesting fight. Now, even if it does happen, I doubt many will care. He actually seems to have gone backwards while he should be in his prime - I don't really know where it went wrong but I can tell you he has no chance whatsoever against Wlad.

I'd rather watch Povetkin vs Haye. Wlad is just going to destroy him.

I'll tell you where it went wrong. With Taurus Sykes as a follow-up to the Eddie Chambers match. Donald-Byrd-Chambers was his best run. Since then, only the Chagaev fight was actually a step forward. He should have fought other up and comers at the time like Alexander Dimitrenko or Robert Helenius, even old retreads like Liakhovich or Peter.

We've heard it all before. I'll believe it when he's in the ring with Wlad.
