Just in hypothetical land here ... if this were happen in the next 6 months for one reason or another ... how would it play out ?
I would pick Haye inside 6/7 and Povetkin after that. If he can go 6/7 then I think he is tough enough to survive the strength and begin to enforce some of his body work, stamina, combos etc Early on, Haye has the speed and power over him.
I would not be surprised if Povetkin knocks Haye out. If a supermiddleweight dropped Haye, what about Povetkin.
This would be a very interesting fight! I think this is one that should be made before putting Haye in with one of the Klits. Make him earn his HW title shot. I think Povetkin has a real good shot to win this one. He has solid wins over byrd and chambers and those are more impressive than beating monte barrett. Povetkin by dec or mid-late round stoppage!
I think this would be a very hard and dangerous fight for Haye.I doubt Povetkin is somebody he is wanting to fight,at least before he gets a shot at Wlad or Vitali.Povetkin is very good and would have a decent chance of beating Haye.
Povetkin would probably school Haye beating him black and blue . Haye has a puncher's chance, but I for my part wouldnt bet a single coin on Haye against Povetkin. Haye struggled with Mormeck, and Povetkin is no Mormeck.Povetkin plays in a different dimension. He has a provent track record at heavy weight-both at the pros and the amateurs.Haye? He is still a big question mark at heavy weight.
Povetkin is sturdy, workmanlike and technically solid... when you add everything together he is an even match for Haye. I still think he gets sparked inside 8 but it should be a very very good fight that he has a good chance of winning.
Povetkin is a style nightmare for Haye, same as Chagaev. 2 hard guys that dont move when you hit them. he has a better shot agaisnt wlad
