Povetkin v Rahman back on - September 29

Rahman is shot and has very little chance of beating Povetkin. Povetkin could come into this fight out of shape and still beat Rahman. The only shot Rahman has is to land a big punch but thats it.

Povetkin needs to win and look sharp in this fight, Rahman's age, style, and less than great chin sets Povetkin up to look good here, if he doesn't his stock will keep falling.

It will be nice to get this fight out of the way so Povetkin can move onto something bigger. He might be happy to keep making the sort of title defenses he has and never fight a top fighter again, but once he gets Rahman out of the way he is atleast free to look at fighting a top5-10 guy.

 

To be honest Povetkin is a total Tomato can. The WBA belt he has is trash. I mean Wlad did cheat and beat Haye but he has the real WBA belt. I swear I wish boxing would do away with all of these belts. I would not be shocked if Rahman wins this fight. Povetkin needs to step it up.

 

I think Rahman will be in shape. Rafael said he looked decent in the gym. If Rahman has any determination left he can pull the upset.

Perfect storm would be Rahman coming in prepared and Povetkin coming in overweight.

but now Pov's working with Zimin, former trainer of Valuev, so he'll come in decent shape for the fight

does Povetkin even make more $ by having the belt (after sanctioning fees)? Does that fake strap get him ppv or tv deals in europe? if there ain't a lot of $ involved he should dump the belt cuz it's a joke and he looks like a joke

 

Can't wait for this fight. If Povetkin is in poor shape and Rahman is in good shape then I will definitely put $ on Rahman.

 

you know nothing..rahman is an atg.and this fight is a 50/50 fight..you need to get over yourself you complete and utter cant

 

I hope Rahman actually KO's this Pov, he's the biggest pretender on the scene at the moment, but I don't have high hopes, one of the last fights I saw Rahman weighed 284 pounds!!

I used to hate this manufactured belt, but the way I see it, Wlad has been able to stay away from Bozwell and a Rahman rematch because of it.

Thankfully, someone at the WBA knew their rankings were trash and created this fake title to protect Wlad from those two shitty fights.

In March Potvetkin will get KOd by Wlad and the WBA will set up a fight for the vacant WBA paper belt.

Hopefully Adamek and maybe Helenius will make themselves available for the next WBA title fight.:yep

 

I hope Rahman beats Povetkin but I know the chances are slim. I see Povetkin as a huge favorite here, maybe 90:10 in percentage terms.

Povetkin came in out of shape vs. Huck and I don't think he will make the same mistake again.
