    This.

Povetkin has never won HW title and he never was HW champion.

Unless you count that garbage WBA regular title with Wlad being WBA super champion after beating Haye.

Let's face the facts: Povetkin is one of those guys who have very good resume but never was even a paper champion

He's better than Maskaev, Valuev, Lyakhovic and others, but they have held the belts, and Sasha never had.

Povetkin was in reality WBA #1 contender, that's it.

He however can change it when he faces Wilder.

Chagaev is too not a 2-time world champion, you shouldn't count his second 'reign' vs Pianeta and Oquendo with this regular garbage belt.

Sasha beats them all but Liston

I admit I am a sucker for the modern dudes, however, I think Sasha is pretty good all around (especially of late) and would have a good chance against most of the 50's guys,,,,

I don't think he would kick butt completely, I think he would be in many close fights.

Povetkin vs Bob Baker is a 50-50 fight.

I expect Povetkin to do as well but no better than Bob Baker did in the 1950s. And Baker was good.

Povetkin couldn't beat Larry Donald senseless.

Donald - a very poor mans Jimmy Young - shot to bits with no legs and in his last ever fight when Povetkin beat him.

And to be fair Povetkin was in only his 13th pro fight. In his next bout he stopped Byrd.

Byrd was also shot to absolute bits. His legs were gone back in 2004.

He was finished completely in 2007. He Took another loss and retired.

He was even past it when Wlad beat him to become IBF Champ:tired

And what was Jimmy Young after 13 fights as a pro? 9-4. Doubt Jimmy beats either one at that point in his career. Point is ppl improve.

Young went on to beat Foreman and Ron Lyle.

Povetkin went onto get bashed around by Cruiser weight Huck.
