Povetkin vs Bruno

Back in the nineties, they used to call Bruno ''Brune-diggity." And they used to call Vetkin "Baby Povetkin" cuzza how young he was back then.

 

I picked Povetkin by TKO late. Probably a good fight.

 

Povetkin takes the basic jab away of Bruno, gets into range fairly easily by getting low and springing in and coming over the top over Bruno’s jab with the overhand right, attacking whilst moving his head off of the centre line, slipping to his left and then springing in with the left hook, feinting to the body and coming over the top, Bruno is too basic to get low with Povetkin as he comes in or to take a step back, he’s too cement footed.
He’s a sitting duck for the tricks of Povetkin, once he’s taken the jab away from Bruno, there’s nothing Bruno can do, he doesn’t have the feet to make him miss and to counter, he has a good jab, but fight on the inside and isn’t a precise counter puncher, once that jab’s been taken away, he’s a sitting duck.

 

Bruno would likely be both on top and dangerous early, but on the balance of probability, I'd take Povetkin to weather that early storm and stop a gassing Frank somewhere in the 2nd half of the fight.

 

I think Bruno can win this if he can stay behind his jab. Sasha was a good fighter but I think Frank is a bit underrated. He could jab very well and his basics are, I think, enough to keep Sasha off him. Pov was no seek and destroy boogie man and the myth that Frank melted anytime someone hit back is just that, a myth

 

Povetkin knocks him out.

Yeah, Bruno's got a good jab and good power, but Povetkin has a way of rushing fighters very quickly, getting inside and staying there. He's got better infighting, better hooks, better head movement and certainly much better stamina. I think Bruno might make a fight of it early but I don't fancy his chances when he gasses or his chin against Povetkin's bombs.

I will tip my hat to Bruno's power and say that if he catches Sasha with a good one early, he's one of the guys that could finish the job.

 

Don’t even play that card you clown. I picked Povetkin and I’m African American. Povetkin was the much much more proven fighter, and for my money is the best heavy to never win the big one (possible exception of Ike).

 

Are you too stupid to realize you need to give me a reason Pov should be respected to make a point?

All I got out of this is you disagree and have enough emotion behind that to make the disagreement known but lack the maturity or cognitive capacity to make any sort of counter point.

Bruno by decision. The way Povetkin let Wlad get away with clinching and wrestling him the whole fight makes it hard for me to believe Bruno couldn’t do the same.

 

Povetkin is simply a better fighter than Bruno, only Power is probably on Bruno's side, I choose Povetkin...

 

Povetkin by brutal knockout in the second half of the fight. I wouldn't be surprised if he was trailing on the cards after 5 rounds though

 

Playing the race card and then going on to call a black dude "sonny" in a condescending manner doesn't exactly seem like the smartest way to go about things.

 

It's not my fault y'all're sensitive. I was open about my inference of this forum's disposition toward Povetkin and now I got sensitive boys crying at me like I am meant to give a damn and another one pointing out I definitely keyed into some sensitivity and didn't give a damn.

Nobody would give two shits about your "inference" if you didn't say, "I assume y'all racist tbh." You made a dumb comment and when you get told that it's a dumb comment you go, "Oh woe is me, all the little fanboys came out and got sensitive!" Nobody started going bit by bit on your claims (like we usually would do), because NOBODY would care without that comment about the posters favoring Povetkin being racist.
