I see Povetkin winning, but maybe Chambers can shock the world.

    Wow, that's pretty detailed "analysis."

I think Povetkin's pressure will consistently let him land on Chambers, who will be slipping and countering effectively--but ultimately Povetkin's ability to throw strong combos will win him rounds and the fight.

I do, however, think that Chambers is better than many give him credit for. He's a good defensive fighter that will win rounds off of Povetkin.

My prediction for the moment is Povetkin by UD, something like maybe 116-112.

Chambers is a pure boxer with good speed. He doesn't do anything great, but he can do everything okay. However, he wont be able to deal with Povetkin's effective pressure. Chambers will be forced to fight at a pace he cannot deal with and Povetkin will make it a rough fight on the inside, thus taking Chambers out of his comfort zone. To beat Povetkin, you need to have the power to get his respect and the jab/ability to keep him at a distance. Chambers has a jab, but little power and he will not be able to keep Povetkin off of him. He will get hit more than he has ever been hit and systematically broken down bit by bit.

Povetkin stops him in the 8th or 9th rounds.

yeah i really was impressed with chambers against brock. Brock's conditioning was a disgrace though. Very slick and quick hands, feet. Nice D and wants his opponent to blow his load early. I think he is going to be much more of an opponent than byrd was. He doesn't hit hard but he throws crisp, straight shots and povetkin's doesn't have a defense. I think he is going to do well and the cumulative effect of his punches are going to bust povetkin up a little bit.

In the end, Povetkin's workrate will win him a close ud maybe by three points. Povetkin looks to have average hw power but his style and punch output are solid. Both guys chins are untested against big punchers though.

I really can't imagine Chambers against Wlad though. He would bust Eddie up something awful :-( As for Povetkin, if he has a great chin he will give Wlad a tough fight. If not, he is going to be destroyed because his D is not much better than Scam Beater's.

Chambers is a very underrated fighter who can turn up the heat if needed, his first fight on the big stage against Brock, you can tell he was nervous and didnt want to mess up. Most of the fights I seen of him, he controlled the fight primarly with his extremely fast jab, when he seen his oppenent tiring a little bit he would unleash a combo and let his hands go.

Chambers will lose the first couple rounds by letting Povetkin throw alot of his **** out, he will look to counter povetkin during these rounds as well, maybe catch him off guard with his superior speed. By the 6 round Chambers will be trying to play catch up on the scorecards, you will start to see more action from him, which will win him most of the middle rounds. In the end Povetkins power will prove too much for Chambers, by the championship rounds Povetkin will hurt him and after that Chambers will feel content on playing defense for the rest of the fight, Povetkin wins by UD, 8 rounds to 4.

Chambers only enemy here is himself in that sometimes he's not busy enough. If he stays busy and active? Povetkin and his amateur aura are disspating. Eddie has the jab and defense to frustrate and out box Povetkin. What many arent fully appreciating is Eddies strength. He's been in with BIG HW's in the gym and always held up quite well. It might not equate to KO power but when Povetkin tries roughing him up inside? Dont be suprised when Povetkins the one pushed back and frustrated. Especially considering theres only about 15 pounds difference between these two.

My question? is what the hell does Buddy Mcgirt have to do with this? Eddie's always been trained by his father. I'm recovering from a nasty little FLU bug and missed a few days but I havent seen anything about Mcgirt having a damn thing to do with this and WHY WOULD HE?? It aint broke, dont fix it, and TEAM Chambers has always been a solid team.

    Chambers Close UD:good
