    this is a good fight.

Povetkin UD cause he has faster hands.

povetkin 9 times out of 10 beats dimetrenko.

cannot beleive the votes are virtually even.

i can only assume most posters on esb have not seen a lot of both fighters over a period of time.

dimetrenko if matched with say a chambers would win IMO .

but dimetrenko has one huge achilles heel.

he cannot handle pressure in any shape or form, still has not been trained how to cope with it/what to do and how to react.

stand off dimetrenko and he has very good stamina/very light feet and a lovely fast hands and jab.

povetkin would take it straight to him/walk through him and dimetrenko will grab hold and spoil the whole fight.

povetkin style would be a nightmare for dimetrenko.

styles make fights/povetkins is dimetrenko`s achilles heel.

Povetkin wins in most areas, except height and reach. Height and reach means nothing unless it can be used, and because of Povetkin's very good footwork and pressure fighting style he'd have little problem getting inside on Dimitrenko who tries to fight like Wlad, but lacks the power.

I like Dimitrenko, he's a good boxer if a little cautious at times, but Povetkin would either win by clear decision or late stoppage. Depends how tough Dimitrenko is, he hasn't really been beaten up at all yet so I'm unsure.

I'm not sold on any of the two, but I take Povetkin here. Dimitrenko has nearly 30 pro fights and he's still just a prospect, everytime he steps up a notch he's having trouble - I don't see any improvements there. He's hyped and won't go far imo.

Povetkin might not be ready yet to be a real threat to the Klits, but he's still developping, he has already beat some decent competition and he's already one of the hottest contenders in this (weak) division.

  5. Povetkin was blowing out of his arse after only 5 rounds on saturday. Needs to work on his conditioning.

    Nah, thats typical Povetkin.

He always looks like that, but he keeps on throwing punches.

  8. Surprising for a serious contender, especially at his age.

I for my part dont think that Dimitrenko would have beaten Povetkin last saturday, but I also doubt that Sauerland will risk Povetkin's title shot by matching him with the undefeated fighter from the Ukraine.
Dimitrenko is better than any fighter POvetkin has faced so far.Huge risk, little reward at this stage of Povetkin's career!!

I think Povetkin would stop him...Dimitrienko hasn't really been battered yet, but I think that's due to matchmaking, I mean, he doesn't know how to fight tall at all....I think Povetkin would stop him, just a hunch.

    Safe bet, Povetkin PTS.
