Povetkin vs. Golota, right now not in their primes.

I've always believed in Golota's abilities and never gave up on him. I did doubt his mental capacity in the past but we're dealing with a "new" Golota now. Yes, I mentioned his freezing. Also, age and speed go hand in hand. Golota is "seasoned" where Povetkin has only a fraction of the experience. Like I said, if Povetkin can show that he can "outfight" Golota then he can outfight the Klits.

Are some of you guys kidding? There is absolutely NO WAY that Golota makes it the distance with Povetkin (who has the best workrate of any HW imo). He was completely gassed in the second half of the Mollo fight; but Mollos conditioning was complete **** so he made it the distance. Povetkin easily t/ko's him in the 5-7 range

Fair enough, I wish the best for Golota, and hope he beats Povetkin or almost anyone else he fights, aside from Sam Peter of course.:yep

Povetkin would beat the shot version of Golota that exists now, but it wouldn't be easy. Love him or hate him, Golota is never a cheap date.

I don't see Povetkin winning by a knock out since there is not enough bang in his punch and he is a much smaller man than Golota. So his only chances are to win by a decission. But before you say that the decission is a no-brainer, for the younger, technically skilled fighter, remember that Golota has NEVER really lost a decission on the cards in his entire long career(outside of the one with Ruiz, which was wrong), simply because Golota is himself a technically disciplined fighter. This is why I would like to see this match, as a possible eliminator for a belt.

P.S. Golota would smoke today's Tua

I wouldnt say he struggled with Mollo at all...did you watch the fight? Golota beat Mollo around the ring and made him look silly, if it wasnt for his constant clinching it would have been a KO much earlier

You Golota fans are nuts and I can tell that you haven't seen much of Povetkin. You don't necessarily need brain-crunching power to get a knockout! Did you guys see Golota in his last fight!!!!???? He was completely gassed out starting in about the 6th (or maybe even earlier). Povetkin throws a steady 70+ punches per round for AN ENTIRE FIGHT, is 10X more technically gifted, and can easily time out Golotas insanely slow punches. This is a tko waiting to happen when Golota is gassed and Povetkin swarms him, and I would bet my house on it. Golota could barely stand up after the 10th round, but Mollo has equally **** stamina and was only throwing 10 punches per round by then. This fight is an easy pick; nothing to read into

    Now or PRIME? Povetkin TKO/DQ.

Why? ****...................... Golota's mental aint never been enough.
Povetkin has heart. I cant say he's the best but he doesnt fold and keeps throwing. Sooner or later? Ol Andrew finds another way 2 lose. Its a ****ing shame thats his mark because the man had all the tools.

    But he didnt/doesnt have what you cant TEACH:-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(

I think you must have confused Golota with Mollo because that statement is a bunch of crock. Anyone who knows anything about heavyweights would appraise Golota's conditioning as above average, relative to other heavyweight boxers. No, he's not Ali, but for a 40-year old, 240lb. man fighting with todays heavyweights, there is no problem with Golota's conditioning/stamina or work rate. Golota was still throwing some combinations in the 12th round of the Mollo fight. Trust me, in todays heavyweight division, that's pretty impressive.

If you disagree, please point out just a single fight where Golota was KO'd/TKO'd or has even suffered a loss because of an obvious lack of conditioning.

Golota has two weaknesses really: a briddle mind when in trouble and a weak defense in the early rounds when being pressed by a big puncher.
I don't see Povetkin as a threat to any of those weaknesses.

Note: If you remember, a lot of people were saying that Chris Byrd was going to frustrate AG because he would outpunch, outwork and outhussle Golota, based on his alleged superior technical skills and quickness. We all know what happened in that fight.

Big difference here is that Povetkin has the mentality of a winner, and Golota does not. Easy win for Povetkin.

I picked/bet Golota over Byrd and got robbed:-(
Golota won that but Byrd wasnt the real dealk AT HW, EVER:nono :nono
I figured correctly Byrd didnt have enough power to shake Golota's mental.

    Povetkin aint BYRD:nono

****.... Eddie Chambers whoops Golata next week, month, whatever:hi:

Today's Golota? SUCKS ASS!!! AINT WORTH A ****:nono

Golota didn't look good on his last fight. Very slow and couldn't put his punches togerther. Mollo was an open target and he couldn't get him away. At least he stayed somewhat focused...

So I'll say Povetkin wins by UD.
But somehow I have a feeling that Golota will still be very competitive for some rds, this won't be a shutout like some here think it will be. The reason is that Povetkin ain't that good (yet) as many here say he is.

It will be Grant-Golota all over again.Golota starting strong, Povetkin coming back after some rounds, and after some serious leather is dished out, Golota quits....

    Povetkin tko 7
