Povetkin vs. Golota, right now not in their primes.

Povetkin is horribly overrated. Still, that anyone has faith left in Golota at this stage is mind blowing.

    Povetkin would win a decision

Yes, I also think Povetkin is overrated. What did he do to make you think he can win with Haye? Surely not his wins over old Larry Donald or shot Chris Byrd. Chambers? Well, better, but I'm still not convinced.

Still, no matter if Povetkin is overrated or not, he would be too much for Golota now. Golota has no speed, not much footwork, shitty defence... did I miss something? And at 40 it is clear he cannot improve anything. Yes, he won with Mollo, but comparing Mollo to Povetkin is not fair. Povetkin may be overrated, while Mollo was just nobody with inflated record

Andrew still tough but he has more of the style that would allow Povetiken to look good

Look at Haye's fight with Mormeck. I think Mormeck and Povetkin are not too far apart in styles, except for that Povetkin is bigger, has more power and better stamina. Mormeck had Haye in trouble, what makes you think Povetkin can not do the same and actually finish the job?

Dude, you're either a total fan of Povetkin, delusional, or lack knowledge. Sorry.

    Povetkin in a UD.

I think Golota has a pretty solid chin and it'd take some monster shots to hurt him. Povetkin doesn't throw those kind of punches so it'll be a working victory for him. Golota is much older and his timing and speed are long gone. He'll get hit often against Povetkin who throws many punches. Much more than a usual heavyweight these days.

    Povetkin by TKO.

He is faster and sharper than a prime Golota, and certainly much faster and sharper than this one. They both have a very good skill set, but Povetkin has youth and stamina on his side (even in his prime Golota couldn't throw over 900 pounds over 12 rounds). Povetkin has easily defeated much better opposition lately, and is the more mobile fighter. He should be able to do some damage early and TKO Golota in the mid rounds.

As to the Haye fans saying Povetkin is overrated, the man has defeated better opposition than Haye, and legit heavies to boot. Also at least Povetkin easily defeated the first 40 year old he stepped up against, last I checked Haye got stopped by five-time KO victim Thompson. Donald, Byrd and Chambers all would have beat Mormeck at the time that Povetkin fought them, and Doland and Chambers still would, most likely by KO. One need only watch the Fragomeni fight to see how a fighter with a similar style to Povetkin, but much shorter, slower, and not with anywhere near the power was able to consistently land and bust up Haye a bit.

Loufatski is a pure nuthugger and a lot of people are overrating Golota here..

Golota wouldn't last more than 2 rounds against Povetkin and if he somehow did, it still wouldn't be a close fight at all. The Mollo performance was only slightly impressive because Golota showed heart at an old age, but other than that, the old Golota looked like **** as usual. Povetkin would blow him out early and easily.

Okay, that's makes zero sense. How exactly does beating Golota mean a guaranteed win over either Klitschko? With the exception of a good jab Golota has nothing in common with Wladimir & Andrew fights absolutely nothing like Vitali does. Style wise they aren't even remotely similar.

I thought Golota did enough to beat Chris Byrd & John Ruiz. But you are right, Golota's punches are very slow now & he doesn't use the jab as well or often as he used to or he wouldn't have had so much trouble with Mollo.

Me too, though both matches were close on my cards. Povetkin has almost every advantage over Golota now, with the exception of power. Golota is not the fighter he once was, if he took the fight past the 6 round with Povetkin I would be surprised.

Now I dont really doubt povetkin most likely would beat today's golota, but if you think its bc of lack of stamina or not being well conditioned you are severly mistaken. Aside from an early KO which i dont believe povetkin has the power to do i dont see a KO. Think about it, when has golota ever been KO'ed aside from those round 1 melt downs?

Grant, I believe he made him quit in the 10th round, a fight he was winning by a good margin. His meltdowns against Bowe should be noted as well, those had happend in the mid rounds.

I'm just responding to a ridiculous post. And let me tell you, I'd step into the ring with Povetkin before Golota. Think about it.
